28/12/2016 08:49 | BP couldn't stop Halifax being drilled even if they wanted to. I do however agree that 85p-105p would be a cracking price for BP, they won't be getting HUR for anything close to that although I'm quite sure they'd like to. That boat has sailed. All the best HUR holders. | ![]() prefab
28/12/2016 08:30 | Hi gregpeck7, Don't want to rain on the parade (season of good will etc), but the combination of (1) price 50p, takeout 85-105, a 'no brainer' (2) imminence - pre Halifax drill and (3)said by a City type who's a non-holder, doesn't quite stack up. ATB (former 'City type' myself) | ![]() extrader
28/12/2016 08:28 | Never trust anyone who works in the 'city'. They know no more than you or I.👉🏿 Nevertheless, it's a cracking buy...for me and mine anyway | ![]() rayrac
28/12/2016 07:25 | 50p + today.. Had lunch yesterday with a guy who works in the city and I have a lot of time for. His view on HUR (as a non holder) but interested observer was that it is currently a no brainer for BP or alike to make a move.. Although his personal view was that the takeout price would be 85 - 105p and not some of the higher numbers that have been talked about.... Again his personal view was that they would be stupid to let them drill Halifax as it could just send the share price into the crazy territory if it comes in when even without it now the share is clearly worth many multiples of where it is... The fact even he saw it as a no brainer, was telling... | ![]() gregpeck7

26/12/2016 18:54 | The Spitsbergen should have finished its latest well and made it safe , the BOP if time allowed prior to bad weather should have been pulled with the Marine Riser . The 2 Anchors on each corner plus weather helm/ propulsion will keep the Spitsbergen safe and in a controlled location . Reasonably certain that they've allowed for this and Anchor Handling Vessels and Tugs weren't ordered but on standby for the move once the weather and sea state dies down . | ![]() gibso6767

25/12/2016 11:17 | Tullow ran from 25p to £16 a decade or so ago. It took about 15 years to do so! And another 3 to drop 90%. The only relevance to HUR is that E&Ps can, if you are patient (a lot more so than many here seem to be) make you a lot of money - they can also lose you a lot when you get it wrong. I'm in HUR and happy to be, I see real opportunities for useful returns over the next year, or possibly more, but some of the expectations being raised here, and views on what the current valuation should be are completely of the wall. Have a good Christmas all Peter | ![]() greyingsurfer

25/12/2016 08:48 | The key to unlock all this is the EPS. Oil in the ground is great, but only if you can get it out economically.
