It's not black and white for me Rayrac. If a £1.50 bid came in Q1-17, I would be quite happy but if we carry on proving up the acreage, notwithstanding all the operating risks involved (which must carry a high discount for risk and time), then I would expect a lot more return.So you can be dogmatic and optimistic in tandem or you can attribute value to risk free and immediate cash.I am happy holding for all the same reasons you all are but give me a tripling of price and immediate payout, that's also fine by me.HUR has not disappointed to date (ignoring the plummeting price when oil fell through the floor in 2014/15) but let's not kid ourselves that the multibagging is in the bag (no pun), a lot can still go wrong and higher oil prices are not guaranteed, with US shale drillers taking up any OPEC slack.

No, I can't see bones logic for hope of 1.50. And the full set is larger than Davids! There's another prospect of 1b potential further west!

Agree Mirabeau! I know some guys here and at LSE enjoy the intellectual banter and looking way ahead to riches untold, but for me a quick and dirty £1.50 takeout by BP would do me nicely removing all my portfolio risk and bumping up my NAV no end right now, cash in hand, lovely-jubbly!Bring it on I say! Lots of other fish in the sea to reinvest into (not necessarily in oil!).Merry Xmas to all.

No suggestion that the papers are reliable but I do think they like to jump on the back of winners so I think HUR is a very likely candidate for a new year tip.

Also the oil market does now seem to be tightening.

The end of the war in Syria is near so the Saudi, Irainian and Russian agenda of using surplus oil to punish the other guys for their "Imperial" aims looks now to be ebbing away?

Anyway its been a nice year HUR wise, its been very kind.
