Nimbo1 regarding the next franchise when I spoke with them in January they did say the next franchise will be a well known name that will strike a chord with people! They also added that not all future franchises will be in that mould.

I think maybe you mean it will tie in with the next game announcement.

Star Trek, Stargate, Star Wars, James Bond, Fast and Furious, Indianna Jones have all been put forward. Fantastic beats would tie in to their animal creation background and is a univeral IP, so its a strong contender.

Tying in with the James Bond theme, there is also Mission Impossible.

The next franchise isn't expected to be launched until next year.

I think Panic investor's star trek bet is a good one, but that could be title 5 not 4.

There won't be another game release this year as far as we know - all the investor communication has always said 2019 for the next title.

Im not convinced the next title will necessarily be tied to a film - it could be a game remake like Elite Dangerous was.

Anybody care to speculate on the next (fourth) franchise?

I'll have a very wild stab at guessing Fantastic Beasts (theres a pun in there somewhere!). Film due to be released in Nov as i understand so would fit in with next scheduled game release later this year.

It looks like the RNS is confirming minimum of 1.8 million expected sales of JWE. But it is only 3 weeks from release of JWE. We are pretty sure sales will exceed this - maybe by a substantial number. There is nothing in this RNS to make a big difference to the short-term share price.
But there will be news to come in the future in trading updates and release of new games. Best to ignore the short-term share-price movements & keep hold of your shares!

Thanks for new item on web site, endion; brilliant.

This is my go-to site for news on FDEV now. The only problem is that I am now getting quite "involved" in the company... as opposed to what I like to think of my usual dispassionate aloofness from an investment. I hope it improves rather than clouds my judgement ;-).

Embedding images:
advfn used to allow this but for a few months now I have not been able to post images. I used to be able to post my TA graphics images which I would upload to a public site like photobucket.com and then use the "less than sign a href="hxxp:// ..... greater than sign less than /a greater than" function in the advfn post to embed it. As I say it hasn't worked recently but I'm not sure whether its my incompetence, advfn not allowing or the fact photo bucket seems to be a closed, subscription service now.

I will try again now and see if this works; see next post if it does.

Brilliant! I think people see it as a delay as Frontier originally said they would announce the fourth franchise alongside the JWE release. Maybe it was a misinterpretation of what they said, but thats what a lot of people believed.

Looks like we just about held onto 1400 as ask. Lets hope this is a new bottom!

No thanks needed, happy to oblige. One thing worth my trying to convey is that in relation to the next franchise having spoken with them today. I don't see it as a delay at all, more FDEV will announce it at the best time!No idea what it might me, but I guess I'd be looking at what films may be coming up on the horizon as a start point. More importantly looks like plenty of mileage in JWE with the other two also going rather well.

Correction, there is a delay in the announcement of the next franchise, not necessarily the launch of the franchise itself.

Its been a huge volume day. Looks like nearly 2% of the company will have changed hands - thats great. You need the sellers to get cleared before we can move up.

It also shows high expectations already are for FDEV in the market imo - and I reckon the market is a bit annoyed about the delay in the next franchise being announced. But that won't bother anyone who is long term.

Thank you hastings for the article.
