An interesting article in the press today.

Thanks Larry. I had misread that statement in the RNS. So BSI is the body to be used for MCS accreditation for the boiler. We need this for FiT to apply and it all comes together in April when the boiler installations start. I think you said once before - it's almost as if it was planned!

The MCS accreditation is dependent on the assessment of the Production facility, quality control etc....refer to MCS: 014 and MCS: 010 in the links.

I telephoned and asked about it today. The answer was that it is being processed and still on target for April. This is in line with the last RNS: "It is intended that the production line will be verified by the BSI (British Standards Institution) in April of this year."

According to the MCS website there are only 4 mCHP products with MCS accreditation.
3 are Baxi...all based on the Ecogen (stirling engine), and the other is the Bluegen (fuel cell) from CFU.
As we know, the Baxi Ecogen is not selling well due to reliability, noise issues and CFU are under external administration...

Larry, have you heard anything about MCS accreditation? Is it coming? Has there been an issue? I see is Flow is accredited as an mCHP installer.

The first European unit will not be ready until 2016. I suspect it was Flow who accepted the 500,000 number, i.e they will not ask anyone else to manufacture until Jabil have made that many. Otherwise Jabil would not have agreed to finance the Livingston facility and extend the loan facility.

The key driver for me is not the UK market, which will hopefully ramp up in the next 6-12-18 months. What I am hoping for is an announcement soon that our European test partner will take the boiler in substantial numbers.50,000 p.a. as a 'starter' with an option to increase to 100,000 p.a., and we would immediately double from here IMO... and this doesn't seem unrealistic given the European market size, and the announced large size of the Euro company... why did Jabil recently agree to increase the total manufacturing agreement to 500,000 units??NAI

I agree that 100 in April would show we are moving, and would not be bad news so long as it is 1000+ in May.
peterd55

Possibly... but I don't think it will take many extra ones above '5' to start showing up! ie. April might be slow, but even if they only install 100 that is still a 20-fold increase!

Any views on what numbers we might expect for April installations? I know we are working on 5000 for H1, which in effect means Q2. It will depend upon when, in April, the installations start. I can't see too many people wanting tradesmen tramping around the house during Easter week. No doubt Flow will have to collate the numbers, but what is their deadline for submission to have them included in April's stats? Maybe it will be the May figures issued in June when we get a proper feel for things.

Flow published their prelim results and shareholder newsletter on the 8th May last year so I would expect around that time would be the latest we get some sales guidance from the company. Like you say though the DECC figures a couple of weeks later should help back up what they say.

But in the highly unlikely event the march numbers are significantly up....now that would be interesting!

It's a serious point actually. Because there is no other significant player in the UK market, we will be able to assume that 95% of all installations come from Flow... so we will be able to verify whether the company is telling the truth about the rollout... and arguably we might be able to get early notice of good progress before any RNSes, in a perfectly legal way as these are publicly available stats !NAI

When we see the April numbers start ramping up (reported mid-May) then we will know where they've come from!!

Where is the "incorrect info" friend/PeterD55?

The Flow boiler does provide NOT instant hot water a massive flaw = FACT

Cost of the installation at/about 1800 is fundamentally flawed = FACT

The 2 yr warranty is very weak when compared with other boiler who
give free 5/7 yr warranty = FACT

Most people will not have their heat on in May, June, July
Augsut, Setemeber - so no or hardly any electric produce = FACT

The share price is well of highs and even the company had to release
a RNS recently re sP drop = FACT

You can easily get a combi boiler of a v good brand with free
7 yr warrandy supplied and fit for approx 1400 = FACT

The biggest fundamental flaw - eletric only made cost effectively with boilers on quiet a high setting - so are people going to have to swelter and waster money during the warmer days = FACT

Even in March, there has been many days in London, se england where people did not turn on heating - FACT

I rest my case

I see a spike in the share price but then 20p and even 10p and at that price a poss takeover on the cheap imo

AS ALWAYS, THE CHOICE IS YOURS IF YOU BUY/ADD, BAIL OUT, HOLD AND PRAY HARD

There was a song by Elvis Presley years ago. Went something like this.... They call your daddy big balls cause big balls was his name. It takes a big man to have big balls...... Good luck Larry. Hey another song goes... Hats off to Larry...

Before our resident pessimist hops on at 17.40, I agree it would be nice if we were still at 45p and above but I know the risk with these and it is all mute where the share price is now until the numbers come out. We are gambling on a successful initial soft launch and adoption of the business model. I'm happy with that if not the share price in spite of my holding running free.
