1fox1 - you have to be skilled in reading between the lines on these announcements. Despite the share price being played around with, the company is progressing on track and are hinting at more agreements and international growth. The price will take care of itself if the management keep delivering.

uppompeii - The game here is global not just UK. That minor point is never mentioned in any of the deramping posts now is it.

Just use the filter on the constant posters who use this as their social life, the board is so much more easier on the eye!

Looks like a steady ship. Absolutely happy to hold. Experienced investors take a longer view than day to day movements. The poster above doesn't seem to realise that most of us here haven't put the flat with a combi and south facing window into this share but rather a sensible amount based on the risk one is prepared to take and the stage the company is at.

Rather like this bit of the RNS which had slipped by me on the first read through.

From the "Sales and installation partnerships" section

"This programme has attracted in excess of 2,000 Gas Safe registered installers"

This seems to me to be a significant number from a standing start late last summer.

There you go
Just returned from the toilet having read and digested the so-called Flow Group update.

WAS THAT IT?? Even I expected a bit more than this none news event - lol.

Well, if you don't believe me, look at the share price

Flow has a real boiler that works, but IMO wont make big bucks as it's sales would be limited

IMO, the initial targets are set low and as you lot know, the green brigade and those that like to try out new technology will be eager to take up.

Importantly, 6 months down the road, look for the feedback re electric made when boiler is on almost full blast over the warmer months, ie end of May, June, July, August and most of summer. No one in their right mind will have the heating on or one for more than a few hours as in warmer temps house heats up quickly

I jest you not, 7th day on the run we have not had the heating on and as south facing house in London with big windows, we already have the windows open as it is getting quite wram in direct sun. We do not anticipate to have the heating on again today

The fundamental flaws will remain imo

The installation costs of 1800
The weak warranty of 2 yrs
Unknown reliability.
The Cassette boiler now on the market.
Long established and respected boiler makers offering A+ rated boilers with free 7yr warranty and can be fitted for as low as almost 1200, my brother in-law had two fitted at 1250 each a few months back at his rental properties

The choice is yours to hold, buy, add or bail out.

This new release has confirmed my new price prediction of about 10p by October. At that price you may get a buyer that buys the co on the cheap and utilise the good work this co has done.
20/22p prediction next 6 weeks or sooner.

Exactly fruit ninja - what seller who wants to get the best price hits the market with nine consecutive 10k sells seconds apart at a time before the institutions get to their desks? Blatant. Not sure about timing the bottom, I'm hoping it was the 26p a couple of weeks ago.

You have to laugh at the blatant so manipulation/large holder selling down appearing here with the statement, my plan now is to wait and try buy at the very bottom!

Hello

This is one of the better co's in the AIM market and i have always said that.
They have a real product that works but not full tested over time in the open market.

The real test will be in Sept/Oct when people that had their boilers fitted in March/April report back re saving over the summer months.

IMO this co will be taken over in time, ie another buy on the cheap that has a bigger clout and they will expand on the success that FG has built

Potential to sell a million units a year - any idea what price they would be able to manufacture for in that sort of volume, and more importantly what profits that would generate? I can't remeber ever seeing a stock with this sort of potential where the risks have been largely addressed and the management team is top class.

Agreed nw99. They seem very bullish about future commercial agreements, which is eventually what will ignite this share price, not boiler sales over the next month or two. Also encouraged by talk of install capacity, the cost reduction programme and new variants of the technology. Cracking update.

THE COST OF BOILER INSTALL IS ABOUT 1800 - COULD BE SLIGHTLY LESS OR SLIGHTLY MORE BUT 1800 IS THE MASSIVE FIGURE

QUOTE FRO ZOPA - FLOWS PARTNER

"""The net result of this agreement is that Flow customers get a state-of-the-art CHP boiler for the cost of installation – around £1,800, the company says. Flow is currently taking registrations online for Flow Finance as part of its soft launch and will be making direct applications available in the coming weeks."""

THAT IS A SIMPLE FACT

Sure, I'm just saying for someone in Investoree's position there is no need to rush into anything...it won't hurt to wait a while...

Larry, the power generation cassette is warranted for 5 years, extended for as long as customer remains with flow. And I would imagine that since it is paying of the cost of the boiler, flow will be keen to fix any problems with it sharpish!

And I believe the 1800 install cost is the maximum. Likely to be a lot less for uncomplicated installs able to take advantage of existing boiler position, plumbing and flue with the electrical connection being the only special work required.

I agree, no need to panic if your boiler is still working ok...if it works don't fix it ;-). Our Vaillant boiler lasted 20 years with servicing only :-) One of the heat exchangers became clogged a couple of years back and it would have been a few hundred quid to get it fixed...it was an old non-condensing type and due to the age I decided to get a new one (Vaillant again).
You will most likely be ok for a couple of years so wait to see what happens with the new stuff coming out.

We can't be absolutely sure about the reliability of the Flow boiler (and that will be key to any success) but the new technology part, if designed well, should be as reliable as fridge freezer tech.
We should certainly expect better reliability than Baxi Ecogen and Whispergen tech ...stirling engines.

Larry335 at the moment we have no real figures to work with for meaningful comparisons between the various boiler replacement options although one concern is being tied into a 5 year supply agreement with FLOW to provide gas to power the boiler (and electricity) both of which are currently far more expensive than with First Utilities iSave Fixed v44 contract till March 2016. Also the generation of electricity via the boiler will mean that some if not all of it will on occaisions be fed back into the grid as we have a 4 kW PV Solar system (especially on the bright sunny winter days of which this year has been exceptional - the sunniest since records were first started.

Also at present FLOW are not offering the option to purchase their boilers outright and choose your own gas/electricity supplier. Reliability may also prove to be an issue (like the Baxi Ecogen - the Baxi figure with Which were 63% for satisfaction and 69% for reliability). There also needs to be a lengthy period for which availability of spares is gurenteed assuming that the company continues to trade which we are hopeful of, especially if we become one of FLOW's customers).

Reading through the Which report on gas boilers the Worcester came out top for both customer satisfaction (89%) and reliability (79%) and we haven't yet discounted purchasing a new Worcester boiler to replace our ancient 35CDi.

Our current 35CDi boiler although 16 years old is still performing well and not showing any evidence of any impending problems. We feel that with luck the hopefully warmer summer months which are getting ever closer will avoid being panicked into making a hasty decision which we come to repent at our leasure.
