My head will be held high when I walk out and so will everyone elses.techno is right but usally the people he is on about were usally the older members who were pre 77 strike or joined in the huge influx after and have all but left.They were getting on in years and BA is not for old men.It was always excepted to look after the old hands where I was.Perhaps we should retire at 45?

I do not know when you left techno but things have really changed in the last 6 years and the 'good old days of nights in bed' are long gone.We are being constantly bombarded by forces who just want to cut just as we really are starting to get stretched.The job is dead,hero status was always a myth anyway and it doesn't take new wannabe hero's long to work it out.9 to 1 says it all............everyone has had enough and it isn't just the money either.

I am not anti-Brigade, but as i am sure you will admit if you are being honest,
there are a fair few rotten apples ,who hide in the bottom of the barrel, who
most certainly not worth a 40% rise.
I generally found the FBU reps to be the worst of the lot.
It is always the same old faces wearing BA in the back of the second machine
and the usual suspects who only ride the TTL.
The chaff needs to be sorted from the grain to move forward.
The culture that skiving is the name of the game must change.

dont tell me that youve capitulated already,what about the band of brothers...the comrades in arms.My goodness If Iwas your senior officer Id have you on a charge for desertion and deriliction of duty.....youre a jelly fish-no backbone.If the rest of your firm are like you the strike will be over by the morning.Never mind the fire brigade -try the boys brigade instead...youd be well suited!
Furthermore,your disclosure regarding getting stoned on duty will have to be investigated.......no wonder you lot spend so much time sleeping!
