The pandemic is OVER you try telling that to bar and restaurant owners all over Europe and the Canaries. This about business disruption not just deaths

Canaries see a record 338 new coronavirus cases and Balearics suffer their highest daily spike of 525 infections as Spanish holiday islands battle to save holiday season
The two island chains are on Britain's quarantine list along with mainland Spain
Tenerife and its neighbours say there is little hope for September hotel bookings
Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza also believe their summer season is now wiped out

PUBLISHED: 10:21, 28 August 2020 | UPDATED: 10:25, 28 August 2020Spain's holiday islands are battling record levels of coronavirus cases as they struggle to rescue the tourist season.

The Balearic Islands saw a record 525 new cases on Thursday, while the Canary Islands also hit a new high with 338 as more holiday flights and packages are cancelled because of the crisis.

What a load of rubbish. The pandemic is over, is now just all lies

The virus is 100th its strength of March. All these restrictions are now because of what is in effect flu, which can be lethal for some, but doesnt kill over 99% of people

Its fkin ridiculous.

Why? Because, as I said, it was already in the price yesterday.

Posting to an airline BB, per se, doesn't mean bull or bear.

Why? Because it’s becoming more and more obvious as each week goes by that this virus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and airlines are in big big trouble. Virus infections are steadily going up in most countries in Europe now, and it’s still only August! I have no idea why anyone would be holding shares in airlines right now.

France logged 5,429 coronavirus cases Wednesday, its highest total since April
Prime Minister warned R figure is now 1.4, with young people fuelling outbreak
Italy also saw its highest daily case total since May, with 1,367 new cases
Infections also rising in Spain, which now has more cases per million than the US

Not like you to post doom and gloom loganair ;-)

Others have a more positive outlook in life and want to go on holiday. You have more chance of dying in the UK from the flu or a heart attack than you do from coronavirus!

While the travel industry desperately needs people to get moving again, the message from the government is clear. Expect disruption, and if you can’t afford two weeks of isolation when you return, it’s probably best not to go at all.

A group of 80 British holidaymakers have been forced to quarantine despite their trip being to the ‘safe’ location of Gibraltar. The travelers were unable to fly home as anticipated due to bad weather delaying the flight overnight. As not enough accommodation was available in the British territory, easyJet bussed them over the border to spend the night in Spain. They must now spend 14 days in self-isolation on return to the UK.

The holidaymakers were faced with the option of either roughing it at the airport for the night or heading into mainland Spain to a hotel provided by the airline. 80 passengers boarded a bus and were taken across the border to spend the night.

Although the passengers were not holidaying in Spain, the fact that they spent the night there means they will now have to quarantine for two weeks.

All I can say, is stupid holidaymakers...

My friend should have been on the 6.30 am Man to Alicante with Ryanair yesterday but only 3 people were on the flight so they cancelled the flight and moved them onto the 7.30am so it must be hurting the airlines still flying to these destinations because of the 14 day quarantine

Will the people who have paid 300% more to get to Portugal this week have to pay even more to get back when it closes again? :0)

I've flown to Greece, got my QR code, relatively hassle free and no crowds. My boy loving it, having a belter.
