The average broker 12 month target is £6.65. £8.81 is the highest.
The average looks very lean to me. I don't think that the analyst view takes into account the gearing on profit from the increased fares.

I think broker forecasts are 550-650 but 700 doable. I'd be amazed (and disappointed) if we don't see at least 600.

The environment for budget airlines is very different now. Previously the budgets were very focused on low fares. Now that's not the case.
£700m this year is realistic. Half of the step up will come from the holiday business.

10 squid would be an all time high (adjusting for double the number of shares in issue compare to the glory days of a decade ago). That was done on operating profits of around 700 mill, compare to 450 odd last year. Be disappointed if Op profits were not in the region of 700 mill for 2024. Seems Ryanair are valued at about 6 times Essyjet. Its Op profits are about 3.5 times higher. Ryanair valued at 26B squid. Easy a bit over 4.

My main reason for huge optimism is the gearing on profit against revenue driven by the seat price. I think that it's way ahead of the analyst position.

Was gonna average down but I'm gonna wait till the update in April. If the update is great and the share price throws a wobbly (it can happen) then I'll bite then.

Yeh who cares what you say re the share price I disagree a bit on where you think the share price should be/is going but hey ho.No harm done. Nobody here can move the share price anyway so what does it matter.

I am not at all desperate. The bulk of my holding is below £4 and I am very comfortable with 52k shares.
I post what I find and my job requires that I know what I am talking about. I simply say it how I see it nothing more.
I know that it makes no difference to the share price and I don't care. Sorry if that upsets noramping and it's agenda of doom. No clouds here just blue skies.

We could very well see this through the previous £5.80 intraday high in the next few days. Still crazy cheap given the commercial success they are evidently experiencing

The summer business maybe but not the holiday home owners, expats, those visiting family, those traveling for work or for an event. These are fixed departure and arrival locations.
This is the bulk repetitive market.
I have the same schedule each year. Between Malta, Italy and Spain. My routes have little choice. Malta Spain Ryanair to Barcelona or Sevilla or Vueling to Barcelona. That's it, I pay what it costs.

I'm counting overall though. When you have an airport/route to yourselves it's all good, but there's a good deal of passengers that will decide where they go based on the flight price alone. We, the passengers are lucky we have so many cheapy airlines to choose from, that'll take us practically anywhere in Europe for under a ton. Fantastic business set up to be able to offer what they do, for the price that they do. Wish we had those peeps running our country instead of the idiots that do.

Competition head to head is not the threat. Easyjet are very diverse in regional airports. Often there isn't any direct competition Birmingham, Southend even Luton direct comparison is very difficult because of the schedules. If you want to fly in the morning you won't switch to an evening flight to save £10.
The departure airport convenience is the primary factor given the cost of transport and parking. The catchments are often smaller but competition is light at the regionals.
Some volume routes like Málaga competition is fierce but the price increases are across all providers.

I have routes where I fly ryanair simply because I have no choice. Luton to Malta is one example. Once I went to Gatwick for easyJet, never again.

80 mill passengers. Increase average seat cost from 55 squid to 60 and you have 400 million extra profit (less any extra costs). Doesn't sounds to hard but competition (as a whole) in the budget airline sector is gargantuan. So no easy task. Not impossible though (1 Bill profits). I make the Current PE circa 13 (IAG is 4 lol). Fair value for now but the PE is gonna fall a chunk if the share price doesn't react to the upcoming HY/FY numbers.
