27/3/2024 16:16 | Sapphire, relentless in talking to yourself. Has it reached the moon yet? | noramping
27/3/2024 15:08 | I think the bit that people don't understand is the relationship between the seat price and profit. Revenue 8bn profit 400m. Revenue doesn't need to be 16bn for profit to be 800m. Many of the costs per seat are fixed if you increase the ticket price rather than just doubling the volume of flights. The gearing is immense on the profit. If you just look at Israel. Flights were around £50 for the bare fare. Now they are £400. The costs haven't increased by this level so it's additional profit. Lots of factors overlooked but it should be obvious that whilst the market fears the oil price or wage increases they are insignificant against the increased price of the ticket. It's not just that they are further through the algorithm with seats sold, the demand is higher but the starting price for the algorithm is much higher. Budget is not cheap anymore. | sapphireblue1
27/3/2024 12:34 | Well i stand corrected :-) | chiefbrody
27/3/2024 07:24 | Totally wrong. Israelis migrate often to family and synagogue connections. Easyjet has an extensve route network into Tel Aviv. Luton is a high demand route for the North London Temple Fortune area. Lots of regular travel has been delayed and disrupted and can now go ahead. | sapphireblue1
27/3/2024 07:10 | I didn't think Israel was that big a deal for easy. Till I saw the mention of it on the last numbers. Figured, with all the Israel hatred on this country now, who would be going there. Unless it's Israelis getting away from this place. | chiefbrody
27/3/2024 06:36 | The real premium story is out of Israel. The high value bookings extend to the end of April. They will more than make up for the loss since Israel invaded Gaza. That was blamed for holding easyJet back in Q1. Normalisation of service will be seen in May. | sapphireblue1
27/3/2024 06:25 | Brody there's very little actually available. We had a flood of requests last week for Easter bookings in Malta and Costa del sol. I think by Mid summer if we are seeing a calm environment for airlines the share price will be well beyond £6. We should be well up on pre summer 23 and currently it just +10%. It's nothing for the change of circumstances | sapphireblue1
27/3/2024 06:04 | Well April and May is only Spring:-)Full Year data will be available in late Autumn. Any indication that profits are marching towards the ultimate billion mark, then maybe more than 6 squid. As said before, I'm doubtful but fingers crossed airlines become favoured again (if just for a brief time). | chiefbrody
26/3/2024 22:44 | I think that £6 is a modest target. I hear lots of words from my British friends. Better to be safe than sorry, set your goals low so you won't be disappointed. If it's so good why isn't everyone doing it. Best not be greedy. I don't understand any of it. Take what you need. Push your luck, aim high and achieve higher. You can do it. £6 I would be massively disappointed. I am aiming much higher this summer. | sapphireblue1
26/3/2024 20:11 | 18th Apr or 16th May you may well get your 6 squid if the price don't fall much from these levels between now and then. | chiefbrody
26/3/2024 20:02 | Wise words! I invested a modest amount in Easyjet around Dec 23 @3.91 Your comments have been really helpful. I would be happy to get out around the 6.00 mark. Don't want to be too greedy and that seems a realistic short term target. True what you say about 50% of the time. I am also involved in Direct Line Group and took a gamble on 888 Holdings (no pun intended) Jury very much still out on those two!! | cogs1
26/3/2024 19:47 | The link won't post but on the easyJet website go to the financial calendar | sapphireblue1
26/3/2024 19:45 | No matter your experience you will be wrong 50% of the time. Generally I call the market right but not the timing. [...] | sapphireblue1
26/3/2024 19:43 | Thanks. Just found it on the Easyjet site. | cogs1
26/3/2024 19:39 | ...to clarify my last post Sapphire, I'm the novice investor !! | cogs1
26/3/2024 19:37 | They're usually on their websites. If that don't work just google EasyJet corporate events. Something will come up. | chiefbrody
26/3/2024 19:23 | Sapphire. Appreciate your posts on here . As a novice investor your opinions are always backed up by useful facts ?. Is there an easy way to find out when a companies trading updates are scheduled...they don't always seem to be mentioned on there own websites? | cogs1
26/3/2024 19:12 | Ultimately all trades are matched but UT are in the auction period. A buy will also have a sell somewhere within the settlement period. | sapphireblue1
26/3/2024 18:07 | UT is a matched trade, so both. | dancing piranha
26/3/2024 16:53 | £6m UT apparent buy posted after the bell. | sapphireblue1
26/3/2024 13:19 | It will when it sees more evidence. April 18th we learn more. As the bumper summer unfolds with minimal disruption the visibility will increase. | sapphireblue1
26/3/2024 13:13 | Sapphireblue, you are unquestionably the biggest bull re Easyjet share price and I'm sure you are right re your share price projection. You post really interesting stats re flight prices, bookings and hotels occupancy. I just wonder when the share price will reflect your optimism. | cevodniya
26/3/2024 12:32 | I don't think anyone will be surprised to see it heading back up through the previous high. Quality will always win over. Easyjet are doing everything right and the share price will respond. Good times ahead | sapphireblue1 |
