Big JV/ Nasdaq listing rumour. Vunerable to takeover now.

thanks for sharing NTG, There seems to me only 2 explanations, 1. Bad news they are trying to hide 2. Imminent takeover making them very worried about communicating anything. I have been bullish about CyanCannode for around the last 5 years. However, my patience has really come to an end. I suspect if I were more sensible I would follow your lead NTG and sell a large % of my holding. It's very difficult to admit you got it wrong, but anyone who has been holding this stock over the last 3 years certainly got the timing wrong, me very much included. Just for some balance I did buy some shares at 2p, 4 years ago which clearly are still in profit (at the minute!!!!!) Best regards SBP

Hi DTB Thanks for your message. The business saying (over 100 years old) that I like and keep in my leather Filofax (yes, remember them) is:- “It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.â€￾ ― John Ruskin I'm not going anywhere (sorry JC) - I'll be here until the bitter end (or takeover). Agree ITT. As for a takeover, not until we are way higher.
Be nice to think they are in non disclosure talks about a takeover.Well I can dream! ;0)

A takeover would be nice, my isa is looking like its been on a slimming contest.
Is that the same takeover as the one you mentioned last month and the one before Xmas?
Hearing takeover rumours/big contract award looming. Next 2 hours will be interesting!!

Re takeover - would it make sense for an acquirer to do it once more contracts are 'in the bag' first even if the market cap is higher?

Selling will dry up and smart money move in. Even more tempting takeover target now.

Talking of being wary, a quick glance at "the Onedin Line's" previous posts shows him talking about takeovers at two other companies. One went bust soon afterwards and one has not had a takeover. Obviously a trader (no harm in that, but beware their posts!!!) Best regards SBP
Looking interesting now lets see if it finishes at days high. Simmering ahead of obvious positive newsflow. Still think this is takeover target.

lol that’s the one, I even went to the Cambridge post takeover meeting with muncaster and cressman although that did it for me, looking them in the eyes was all it needed, but I don’t think we are in the same situation here it’s just a bit Groundhog Day effect and (to me) clear walking down of the sp by a few large holders who get in regularly at placing levels rinse and repeat etc, we are in that loop with our relative lack of long term attraction to new investors as a result of the history,I still live in hope tho!

Stakebuilding takeover rumours...
Talking of takeover targets, I have spotted an excellent one with a 2-3 year time horizon and actively building a stake....

Good morning and warm greetings bscuit :) Observations from a very knowledgeable gentleman and who has held CYAN than longer than any of us. A very astute and salient observation regarding the stickiness of the EIS holdings and time thresholds to maturity and some resultant takeover "protection" potentially ! Like many things with the HMRC, the issue of headroom for EIS etc could possibly be open to interpretation, though I am no expert. In such matters what is often needed is a well regarded expert to HMRC to make the case - a lot of law and rules is about interpretation and we know many professionals make a living from that. I know a very seasoned EIS investor who seems to participate in virtually all the EIS that are doing the rounds - talking to him a few years ago was very illuminating. He was very generous in sharing with his knowledge, experience and time and I am grateful for that.

MB As ever thanks for the reply. Yes John lives in Solihull (or did anyway). No I will not be putting his address on here.. :) In order for the shareprice to become attractive to more investors and therefore initiate a SP rise there must be talk of takeover ...or Dividends. I figure the former is more likely than the latter currently. Just my opinion.

MB Thanks for reply. I had a rather large holding for many years. I lived near JC and I knew his neighbour, who was also an investor!...We are talking around 10 t0 13 years ago... Neither of us expected JC to be still involved all these years on. Progress has been made in a difficult business environment but I just wonder if shareholders are not a priority. John`s holdings are a fraction of his earnings from the company since he took over. Where does the quantum leap come from? Only via a takeover surely?
