15/9/2016 09:15 | Thank you Mr Hangman, you are a gent! | evil_doctor_facilier
15/9/2016 09:15 | What is wrong with you Hydras , do you not understand English or do you simply not read my posts? I had no inside information!!!!! | evil_doctor_facilier
15/9/2016 09:14 | I'm not attacking you Doctor, we should of listerned | mr hangman
15/9/2016 09:14 | You do realise that being 'right' wasn't the issue - the issue was that you somehow got wind of information before it was publicly known that you explicitly said you received from Crawshaw HQ. I have no idea whether you or any associates benefited from that. However I think the company should investigate this as its poor corporate governance. It would also be good if the leak/trading patterns yesterday were investigated by the authorities but chance is a fine thing. | hydrus
15/9/2016 09:13 | Does not help either, when they open up shops in areas where most of the residents eat Halal | mr hangman
15/9/2016 09:13 | Always the same with these moronic posters, someone comes along like me giving actaul personal insight that within one day turned out to be broadly factual and all the spiteful, hateful and bitter posters can do is try and attack with anything they can! You should be thanking me. Amazing! | evil_doctor_facilier
15/9/2016 09:12 | evil doctor...LOL | optomistic
15/9/2016 09:11 | You aren't going to beat the supermarkets, easiest way is to join them. Craw need to do deals to run butchers inside the supermarkets. | celeritas
15/9/2016 09:10 | Optimistic headmaster of ADVFN sir please see dictionary- hope this helps you stop making yourself look foolish in the future. XXX comprende. Informal second-person singular (tú) affirmative imperative form of comprender. Formal second-person singular (usted) present indicative form of comprender. Third-person singular (él, ella, also used with usted?) present indicative form of comprender. | evil_doctor_facilier
15/9/2016 09:08 | Must agree with the Doctor, When directors start blaming Brexit..., the Supermarkets are the big problem here | mr hangman
15/9/2016 09:08 | Evil doctor 'Comprende'...I would stick to brushing up your English before introducing the second language. | optomistic
15/9/2016 09:01 | Evil - actually, the trading statement just confirms you had access to inside information which was leaked to you. That should be investigated. I imagine the company felt obliged to release the statement this morning because information had been leaked. What do you want an apology for? | hydrus
15/9/2016 09:00 | Brexit vote apparently has an effect on people buying their Sunday roast! Hilarious stuff. Anyone seen hangman this morning, he seems rather quite? | evil_doctor_facilier
15/9/2016 08:55 | how can you value 40 butchers shops for 40 mill, you speak to most butchers and be glad to be out of the trade | penciles2
15/9/2016 08:53 | Been tracking the action this morning and certainly it seems the MMs have a very large seller forced or otherwise with Cfeq with the tradesbeing dropped in as time goes on and not at the time. EG 50k and 250ks repeated. On the sidelines I did think the excuses were a stupid comment to make. I have supermarkets as a convenience rather than what price meat is elsewhere. | superg1
15/9/2016 08:53 | Morning chaps ;) Don't all apologise at once will you , it would disprove my theory as you not being gentlemen. | evil_doctor_facilier
15/9/2016 08:51 | I have no doubt that this can be a profitable business, it's just whether it's going to grow as big or in quite the same way as I had anticipated. | hydrus
15/9/2016 08:48 | Crawshaws buy their meat cheaper than supermarkets as it is meat the supermarkets don’t want due to sell by dates etc that they buy so long term supermarkets cannot compete I would say. I am beginning to firm up my idea it may just be fallout from the supermarket war going on just now. | pogue
15/9/2016 08:45 | What kind of value would people put on CRAW now ? It is back to the level of about 18 months ago, but the current business model does seem to be different from then. | fft
15/9/2016 08:44 | My take is this. It's down to the selling price of their product. Those that shop in the stores will not be on £60,000 a year but out for a bargain to survive the week. Point two. Fixed costs (overheads) drown you if sales fall by the odd % point. Point three. The blame game was very, very poor and to say they can fix it is a huge worry. Is the truth that in the hurry to expand things have gone very wrong.? Not sure if shops are leased or bought I've not looked if leased has the one or two year rent free period ended ? | ten bag man
15/9/2016 08:43 | you cant find good staff, people want to speak to the butcher other wise just by in alidi cheapest.interesting if not paying suppliers on time | penciles2
15/9/2016 08:39 | Half year results are only in a couple of weeks which wont make good reading. Reasons for the slow down are odd, Brexit, football, does that really stop people buying meat. Supermarkets are the only real reason for me and always will be a major threat. I was interested in these as mentioned before when comparing them to grg but I still think grg is the better co for a lot of reasons. | celeritas
15/9/2016 08:36 | Pogue that's a fair point - I guess long term this is the danger for Crawshaws. If they do end up focussing on just raw meat and got to a couple hundred stores then the supermarkets could just lower prices for an extended period and wipe them out.My hope was the hot food offering would become successful and therefore this would offer some protection. They seem to be moving away from that which is worrying. | hydrus
15/9/2016 08:32 | Frankly I think today's RNS is a monumental warning, showing what happens to the share price of companies who blame Brexit when it is absolutely nothing to do with their poor performance.I'd fire the idiot who suggested that approach. | emptyend |
