Maybe he will buy them back, when they go ex dividend, if they drop by more than the dividend on that day. As can happen.

Don't get me wrong jfishy this is a great company, just think the mkt is a bit overcooked atm. I will be buying back in a) if the share price breaks the 180 resistance or if b) prob around 150p if the share price pulls back. Wherever I think it has found support - can't know the price of that yet until I see the px action.
Either way I will be buying back in, just a question of when. I've been involved in this stock for ~12 years, it is a belter...

I'm not so sure dimitri, the share price is holding up well considering the amount he has sold. This will be down to the latest accounts plus the gold price, so perhaps he has chosen to sell at a time when it will affect the share price the least?

There seems to be a floor around 7.73/4 where the price also rebounds from intra day, which leaves me wondering if he has sell instructions only above a fixed price.

So until he stops selling, it seems the price is range-bound between 7.73 & 7.80. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed he didn't place a large block to an institutional investor instead of selling into the market.

What trgt support juju? Thinking could ultimately test high 140s. High 160s and mid 150 to test first, think drop could be fairly rapid though to test the upper limit of the down trend that began in august. We shall see. Think cash is the right way to be for now still anyway.

Another sell off?! As a new investor this is somewhat concerning.

Yep , conclusive in due course but may not affect anything in the short term - over and out

Maybe but it can still fall back - indicators still overbought. Medium term it will go higher as long as gold behaves

Sorry to contradict, but compared to its sector rivals Centamin is seriously undervalued. Do the maths!

CEY remains in overbought territory and further retrace is likely. It would have fallen quicker if gold had been weak .

Chambeaj has long gone robert, so there is no one to update the header :-(

There have been a lot of 10,000 share NT buys today (there nay have been on other days, I've only just noticed them), I winder if someone is building a stake? Blackrock again or someone new?

Gold holding over $1250 now. All the political uncertainty around at the moment should keep it there.

BTW, isn't it time somebody updated the header here?

Chip and all holders
I agree we need to realise he still!l holds a bundle and I have been very impressed over the years with the families efforts to make Cey what it is today. Still a loyal and (i like to think) reasonably objective investor. I see no reason why Cey will not perform for years to come...as long as the c.f. is resolved and the world as we know it does't implode with trigger happy heads of state...not to mention crazy economic
strategies.

From memory:
Joseph recently sold just over 10 million shares
He still holds in excess of 40 million shares
So he still has a significant amount of skin in the game

As a Director there will be many periods during the year when he will be unable to trade, these are known as closed periods, because he will be in possession of price sensitive information, and could be accused of insider trading.

He possibly needs money for something, or is taking the attitude that you can't take the money with you. Who knows

When we sell we do so to try and maximise our profit on that trade. If I held over 50 million shares and were selling over 10 million of them, I would also be considering what effect the transaction would have on the share price of my remaining 40 million holding

Edit
Sorry CHIP, I got distracted after starting my post, looks like you beat me to it and have more accurate figures

I am not concerned by the sale, but everyone needs to make whatever decision they are comfortable with

conundrum
