K,We've had a tough ride, no disputing that !! Running on fumes ? If prod is continuing at c 2k bopd and MR/Dom prices holding up, this with the additional trading revenue = far more profitable than at any time historically. Costs are up due to supply chain and inflationary pressures, also activity up (allegedly) and the additional costs to B8 so it will be interesting to see FY accounts. If they do generate say $12.5m from barge then that's a huge chunk of profitability that will go a long way to easing any financial pressures. Not diluting us to death like many other AIM failures so hopefully our Austin Allegro is being upgraded to a Maybach ;) and we can enjoy the ride this year, long overdue Rodders !

I haven't checked historically by my gut tells me that Monday is the least likely day for news. The execs are still recovering from the weekend activities and in todays Covid world, nobody seems to work on Mon/Fri. Tues-Thurs are days for good news so let's hope that we see some positive drilling results. The Abay project is going ahead, that was a real concern for me as there was nothing in the news re drilling this year which was a tad disconcerting. As per the update, the drilling may take longer, an extension up to 15 days or more would be good news for Casper as could generate a few extra million in charter income. If it's successful there will be more drilling as they develop the prospect. I suspect they will then look to buy the CE as opposed to continued rental. Let's hope it's successful as it'll be a windfall for Caspian, one that could kick start the repayment of sensible Divis. When you look at Caspian profitability, this $10-15m is going to make a considerable contribution and 24 will be the best year financially and any positive drilling news sends the share price flying. All to play for :)

Regardless of the timing of trades versus this news, I don't think the small amount of extra detail in that piece is enough on its own to have caused the recent buying.

Mondays have been mentioned as a preferred day for Caspian to release news - can any long termers confirm whether this is a regular pattern please?

That's cheered me up on a Friday pm. Might have been the reason for the buying spree but as far as I can see, this news was only in the public domain yesterday and buying was the day before. Hopefully there are no delays snd contracts all signed :)

MMS walked it down and now walking it back up. Yep, oversold and nice to see sone blue but it's now time for Casper to walk the talk ! None of us know the current situation. On he ground apart from the fact it's flipping freezing. Let's hope the next news is far hotter and sets us up for a great 24 with less c*ck ups :)

What a treat to see any sort of increase in the price. The selling has broadly been exhausted and technically we are very oversold. The price is very able to rally quickly and significantly now. All we need is good news......

Crude at $81.3 amid geopolitical crises. Almost impossible to predict or forecast future prices with the current volatility. India looking at considerable growth this year but buying and stockpiling cheap Russian oil as are China who are predicting an economic slowdown in 24. All about supply/demand and very difficult to see next move. Can Casper return to exporting oil to increase revenue as intimated by CC in last RNS ? Doesn't increase profitability but does improve cash flow. Historically, their oil receipts and profitability were far lower, just need to build production at this juncture. Kazakh govt are taxing exported oil at gross crude prices regardless of sanction discount so will be interesting to see if this changes in our favour. In a far better financial position today but they just need to build production to build shareholder value. As always, tick, tock !! BSG,This has more pumps than Shell forecourts :) Peeps getting in at 2.4p ish can exit at 2.66p but that would soon reduce. Don't think it was a pump as volume tiny and market price moved quickly from 2.3p so average price would be 2.5p+ and there's been no pumping from bloggers on the various boards. Just peeps buying in at oversold prices and pre likely news next week, a month on from last update . A smidgeon of good news moves this on. We all want to see a first deep success and B8 would really kick this on but the news delay is obviously concerning. I'm staying invested to see a deep success and A5 is still the most successful project this far ie flowing volume for an extended period. 802 was meant to be our best cos but they messed it up and now in remedial mode alongside 803. A7 in progress and remedial work planned for A5/A6. All these activities this year but as we know, nothing guaranteed !! The upside is huge from here BUT can they deliver ? Not many minnow oilers that have the assets and the cash to drill them. Most of the expensive deep drilling has been done and CE cash will ensure continued funding but that's providing there's no wobbles there. MJF at approx 2k bopd is crucial to continuing the journey snd they need to build that volume to their 5k target. All to play for and 24 will be the most active year since incorporation. About time out luck changed for the better !!

Crude over $80 again. About the 10th try this week and all down to the newest geopolitical crisis, the Houthis. Energy prices dropping 15% in Q3 allegedly, not if the geopolitical tensions continue !Good to see some blue, even better to get some positive news .

Yep, peeps adding a few but you never know with this share, could be the same peeps who've sold and averaging down. Volume is consistently low and PIs are the only ones showing g interest as always, unless it's an off market transaction. The weather has been a lot colder over the last week in Atyrau and evening temps between -10 & 20 ! Add in the wind chill and not conducive to loads of activity I'd say ! News is imminent and hopefully todays buyers are going to make a few quid :)
