BM,As posted, there are short termers, the Zak Mir followers and other tipsters that trade the TA. Todays Mr 500k has been around for ages and my guess would be that it's one of our pumpers but that's the game they play and if it makes money then its obviously a strategy that's working. The long termers will trade too, top slicing, maybe averaging down etc. SP could run further but even if it retraces, there will be buyers as there's material news this quarter and there will be another wave if interest. What we need is that foundation builder, the fundamental strengthener and the near term news can do that. Also have the tax year variable to factor in. Those who have ISA allowances left can bednisa but you also have those selling without ISA allowance who want to book CGT loss and then rebuy come new allowance next week. Different strokes for different folks but we're trading above the 200 DMA and we need some solid news to really break this out. Got to be in it to win it and those who are on the sidelines could get caught out if a material surprise pops in ;)

I think the 500k trades were probably sells.

Having said that, don't pay too much attention to the subsequent drop in bid, I can still sell decent size at 3.95 so 'real' bid is still (or should be showing) 3.90p.

Not 100% on the 500ks but if they're not sells then there's a massive sell in the background and the MMs haven't published yet. The bid is very strong @ 1.4m ! and price is 4.01p up to 350, 3.96 and 3.915p above. Were going to see selling and there'll be plenty of peeps in profit from recent lows . There's also hot money, the trend and day traders and we're going to see how much legs this little run has.

Difference here, there's a lot of news in the pipeline that 'could' transform the landscape for the better. Long overdue but nowt guaranteed, yet.

I think the divi was a bit of payback time for getting us through covid.
I have been in here a long time and must say this feels different, more positive, more realistic.
I am quietly confident but say say with fingers crossed...GLA.

Probably not, no. Not for that reason.

And there's no guarantee of any special dividend, btw. They could choose to plough the entire proceeds into driving development forward, or in acquisitions. Both of which I'd prefer in many ways, as that adds value and greater income further down the line.

This maybe a conspiracy theory but do you think the divi payments may have been a practice run to guarantee everything was set up correctly for this upcoming special divi

Alternative view - the deep oil is there, struck multiple times (clearly not fake, there's even been flare videos) and the company has the dire valuation now because of a mixture of bad luck, poor technical expertise at countering the pressures and temperatures of the deeps, and lack of resources exacerbated by a misguided episode of dividend payments when they should have been pushing the cash into equipment and development. Many of which negative factors can be rectified in near future.

A long term cynics view

In the beginning was Perestroika (“restructuring” in Russian) refers to a series of political and economic reforms meant to kick-start the stagnant 1980s economy of the Soviet Union. Its architect, President Mikhail Gorbachev, would oversee the most fundamental changes to his nation’s economic engine and political structure since the Russian Revolution. But the suddenness of these reforms, and the opportunists taking over businesses which they had any long term experience of being operated by "cowboy" bosses who made millions by getting in first and then selling them on.. Kazakhstan suffered under this system which was exaggerated by its Independence in 1991.

Roxi Petroleum was an oil exploration taken over by a western entrepreneur in the early 2000,s which hit trouble the financial trouble of 2008. KO, keyman, whose PERESTROKIA opportunities provided him the capital to buy in, and had some oil education. He simply flipped his other businesses and put his profits into Roxi, Has did other members of his concert parties. A UK company gave protection to his profits and against the devaluation of the Tenge.

Concept is well known where money buys the business and pays experienced staff to run it.

Regrettably Roxi was not a money bull rather a money pit, But looking at the exchange rate which safe guarded and boosted the illusion of increasing value. Paying a London accountant a quarter of a million pounds a year protected the money pot whilst the core business struggled.

In May 1988, Gorbachev introduced a new policy that allowed for the creation of limited co-operative businesses within the Soviet Union, which led to the rise of privately owned stores, restaurants and manufacturers. Not since the short-lived New Economic Policy of Vladimir Lenin, instituted in 1922 after the Russian civil war, had aspects of free-market capitalism been permitted in the U.S.S.R.

More illusions have been created of allegedly fake deep well oil where trading can be very heavy both in London and elsewhere. But the end of the day this share is tightly prized bun fight with crowds of traders, like new religion converts but No direction. The value of devaluation of the Tenge has worn thin, and the reality of many drilled small successes and many failures give little impression of a company of 15 years being mature . It may talk the talk but not walk the walk. Illusions based on opportunistic ventures, with a staid valuation following the devaluation of the Tenge.

Morning Konil, All valid points. The operational lead is Shin and he needs to turn our drilling fortunes around. I'm a little more comfortable with the current approach ie 2 wells, one on each deep structure that could be the start of a huge valuation re-rate but as we know, the blockage saga has spoiled the party to date. Yep, next 3 months, we'll know a lot more as to the future of the BNG acreage. If they fail at both then they must consider a change of strategy and get other interested parties in to share the costs/spoils. Even if the do fail, they will carry on with remedial work on BNG deeps but I'm hoping g that B8 will spring a surprise, a positive one hopefully :)

Reposting a few random RNSs that show the discoveries since deep drilling campaign started with A5 in 2013. I'm most excited by A5 and the Airshagyl block and I'm glad they're doing the side-track now. If it fails, they'll have to drill another vertical as the well bore will probably be too damaged flowing multiple ST events. You can see from one of the links that the well flowed at 3800bood for 15 days pre the start of 90 day flow test but unfortunately got blocked again. If they did get this to flow then it is the real company maker with lots more to follow. https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/x4v380xhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/xe2o0nxhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/xevd2ywhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/x85g2pxhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/r77ygzr

Will be interesting how this trades this week. If it was to sell off it would've done so on Thursday pre BH weekend so I suspect the run continues this week before a sell off to then retest support levels. The next material news can come from current shallows, any deal update, CE charter confirmation or B8 licence approval. In the background, 803 is drilling ahead and A5 about to start side-track. Regardless of current share price and real value, the next few weeks and months are going to throw up some very material news that could transform this company. I think most agree, it's about flippin time !!

The deep discoveries started in 2014 with A5, followed by 801 on NY block, then A6 appraisal on Airshagyl and 802 on NY. A P&A at A8 and now drilling 803, A7 to complete and remedial work on the drilled wells to commence with A5 now. To add, they've completed 2 deeps on 2 new structures which are due to be tested post licence approval.I've plucked out a few random RNSs below that highlight the fact that every drill bar 1 has discovered oil. The Airshagyl block is the most lucrative by far but you can see from the 802 discovery that they have no real handle on reserves as they've interacted oil at 3900m not at the 4200m they were targeting. They've been plagued by constant issues, largely down to the heat and pressure operating at 3 miles down which have resulted in blockages but the oil is there, whether they can commercialise it is yet to be seen. They've spent inordinate sums to date, well over $100m and no ROI yet but theyve almost completed the expensive deep drilling does with 803 being the last well pre applying for the final production licence.I'm most excited by A5 and one of the announcements below relates to the side-track success, flowing at 3800 bopd for 15 days. Shows what's possible if they can sort the blockage problem. If they do, the hype on this stock will go crazy as will the share price with so many other completed wells that could flow too. This is why we're invested :)https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/x4v380xhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/xe2o0nxhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/xevd2ywhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/x85g2pxhttps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/caspian_sunrise/news/rns/story/r77ygzr

BM,A divi suits the short term investor as they're getting a payout and will probably sell during the hype phase. MJF/SY has a NAV albeit the reserves calculation is subjective as the last CPR was a long time ago. If that NAV is replaced by cash equal to or in excess of the great but if 25% say was extracted as a divi then yep, cash into investor pockets but NAV reduced immediately. Then there's the utilisation of cash v a producing oil asset that could see appreciation from volume and reserves especially if SY new horizons are productive. Obviously there's a chance of volume reduction but any purchaser obviously doesn't believe that's the case. Peeps can hype the likely sale value of any deal and I'll be very happy to see a silly price but I don't believe it's going to be huge numbers but that's my shout. If it is then they'll have cash to spend on developing new assets, infrastructure etc and enough spare for a windfall divi then great. if it's cash inflow only then that is a concern for me so hopefully B8 is one of the focus assets. Our big rewards come from the deeps and even without a cash injection from a sale, the CE cash (hopefully) lands and ensures that we can continue to fund the deep program. Upside intact and I'm looking forward to the results from 803 and A5. This stock hasn't seen any real hype or blue sky since the divi announcement and initial 802 announcement and as many know, this can move like a rocket with the right news. IF they were lucky enough to finally sort the blockage problems and convert A5/802, the hype here will be off the scale and this would be trading 20-30p, possible more when the real hot money lands. It'll make the UKOG hype look insignificant, difference here, it's real ;)

x2, we're on the same page re use of proceeds; I'd much rather it was ploughed into accelerating development rather than a one-off dividend.

While dividends would be very welcome again, far better if they are frequent, ongoing & sustainable and from growing production, rather than a one-off.

We have no idea re timing of any corporate deal on shallows if any. The shallows have a NAV and the deal has to be equal to in excess of, otherwise we are being diluted. Amy proceeds will recapitalise the business but personally I don't want to see cash landed and being extracted by way of divi, that reduces NAV not increasing it. If the deal is fantastic and to good to refuse then yes but I'm hoping that the proceeds are used on developing assets and as stated, I hope this is B8. That makes sense to me especially if the 2 new wells drilled are likely producers. The remaining cash to be the funding vehicle for ongoing operations but if CE cash is landing then that is a welcome source of funding. Also, if B8 is going up flow then they'll have infrastructure costs, pipelines etc as the volumes are probably going to be too high for tankers. Any cash from shallows sale needs to be spent wisely and as per company statement, on developing NEW assets !
