If anything needs investigating it is him and his bent operating on the markets.

"As I revealed yesterday, the FCA and FRC are both investigating Burford (BUR) following a letter I sent requesting an investigation on August 8."

You know they will have put your letter thru the shredder already Tommy! They are bot interested in letters from PI's like you, because that's effectively all you are mate!

First time it's been above the 15m MA for some time. Usually trading with the trend on the 15 works well so nobody with sense would sell here

Hello Minerve,

I'm bored with this BUR site now. They're all barrow boys, apart from getting.

Back to the MRO thread in time for the results on 5th Sept.

Tracy,

You're right. We are as bad as the Krays, or even worse. We 'Opportunistic chancers' are also involved in GBH, demanding money with menaces and the odd murder.

You have a distorted view of the world, worsened by your association with these shady outfits.

Now clear off.

HL looking like clueless fools in the financial world anyone investing with them must be cringing with that pathetic statement

Opportunistic chancers suggesting and advising on these BBs' are as corrupt as the aforementioned Krays, in fact the Krays were probably more trustworthy than anonymous Good Samaritans.

Encouragingly for shareholders (there was also a Financial Times report that cited Global Asset Management dumping all BUR equity/bond exposure from its funds) it suggests current low equilibrium prices are affected by classic capitulation by fund managers.

Pathetic. Most of the deadbeats following this company would bet on a race between a couple of earwigs crawling up the wall. You can make money, or lose money, but there's no logic to it.

Go back to first principles. Look at the company Info on HL's site.
"Burford Capital Limited is a Guernsey-based finance and investment management company focused on law. The Company's businesses include litigation finance and risk management, asset recovery and a range of legal finance and advisory activities."

In other words, they're in the debt recovery & bailiffs business. It was this business that made the Kray twins, although it was done rather differently in those days.

Get the hell out of this investment. Invest in something solid, 'Pork Gravy Futures' on the NYSE or, at home, 'Melrose Industries', a sound british engineering business.

Aka "our investment process has been to follow Neil Woodford unquestioningly and we have now, in late August 2019, decided that this may have been a bad idea. We are therefore now unfollowing him unquestioningly in the hope this is a good idea".

Edmond, that’s how I read their statement too. They seem to be saying that although nothing concrete has emerged, others seem to be getting out so we’re going to get out too!

In other words, HL admits it does not have a clue as to underlying financial judgment, chiefly has finger in the wind as to what's on/off its 'Select' list.
