I didn't say that you had missed anything BH (read It again).

I merely suggested that you may have overlooked a previous announcement.

If as you say that you have been thought all of their announcements then the mystery continues.

Which announcement have I missed Luderitz? They are all listed in the news section and I've checked through them.

Thank you Linhur.

Maybe you have missed an announcement BH because as you say they must declare such holdings.

Interestingly they didn't have a notifyable interest at all only a few months ago:

so I'm surprised that there were not more holdings announcements between under 3% and the current one.

I tried to find out from Southwark Council. But you know what civil servants are like. They won't tell me about who got or were shortlisted for the contract. Veolia and Biff will go head to head.

If 340p is breached today then the share price will fly directly to over 350p
to hit a new high.

No problem -
I see it climbing towards the 350p+ very quickly.

Oh yeah!..the chart is telling me to stay away for the time being at least. There is a gap that could be filled around 270p. So I will pass on this one. But thanks for the rec.

Can't recall who said I should take a look at Biff, but I have looked at the chart and would like to see how it plays out before I look into it any further.

thanks sllab...
I reckon Bridgewell might be right regaring a possible takeover but 500p is too low more like 600p.
Growing profits 20 percentage a year they could achieve 500p by acquiisions alone.

On the downside, Biffa (LSE: BIFF.L - news) edged 12-3/4 lower at 328 amid the wider negative market trend, while Bridgewell Securities welcomed the group's acquisition of Cory yesterday.
In a research report this morning, Bridgewell Securities said the 588 mln stg Cory deal set a 'new benchmark in the UK waste sector' which suggests the sector could be 'underpriced'.
The broker reiterated its 'overweight' stance on the stock, noting that the Cory acquisition suggests an exit price for Biffa of around 500 pence in the case of a bid.

Everything is recovering FTSE & DOW - BIFF should follow.
In addition BIFF is a vey defensive stock.
Its business is needed under any economic conditions.

I have been watching the DOW futures improve and bit the bullet and bought 16,0000 shares at 3.25. Lets hope my timing was good.
