01/3/2007 07:38 | wat - Keeep an eye on TAN. This could be an interesting medium/long term play. | beaudelaire
28/2/2007 16:18 | It really is an opportunity. I thought it almost impossible to get back to 310 level since we touched 350. But it's a pleasant surprise. I am losing with TATE which I should have waited a bit. But anyway, this one saved me. | ![]() watwungyi
28/2/2007 14:23 | Biffa a safe bet against current market good time to top up it wont be this cheap next year. | ![]() mitzis
28/2/2007 13:32 | "Looking ahead to Wall Street, US stocks are expected to open higher this afternoon, with some bargain hunting seen after yesterday's steep falls, dealers said. According to spread-betting firm IG Index, the DJIA is expected to open up around 20 points, while the Nasdaq is seen up 5, after losing 416 and 96 points respectively last night." | beaudelaire
28/2/2007 13:31 | Hi wat - Cheers. Impossible not to revisit BIFF with such a great buying opportunity. DOW expected to open positive this pm. | beaudelaire
28/2/2007 13:08 | i'm long also! | powerbook
28/2/2007 13:06 | Hay beau, Nice to see you back. This is such a resilient stock isn't it | ![]() watwungyi
28/2/2007 11:48 | The best defensive stock to own. | beaudelaire
28/2/2007 11:42 | I mean 323, I wish I could have got em for 223 :-) | prankster2
27/2/2007 15:25 | Bought some more at almost 223 as in my opinion our market is oversold compared to the dow jones. | prankster2
27/2/2007 10:14 | I'm a buyer at 320p then down to 300p. However let's not forget that FTSE and S&P are due a 5%-10% correction and todays slide could be all we need for the correction to start. If the wider market does correct then I'll just stand aside like everyone else and may get BIFF even cheaper! I hope I'm wrong though, as 80% of my portfolio is long! | powerbook
27/2/2007 09:43 | Quick sell everything and buy Biffa they wont be this cheap for long..! ps..Hargreaves is taking off on news of a major buy today.. worth a look.I hold both. | ![]() mitzis
27/2/2007 09:02 | Unless the market is down because BIFF's mini support is falling Which is unlikely. | call-logger
27/2/2007 08:54 | markets are down generally nothing specific to BIFF | ![]() bountyhunter
27/2/2007 08:13 | mini support failing | powerbook
24/2/2007 11:07 | I don't think there's any doubt BIFF are being looked at now, it just depends on who wants them most due to their recycling capabilities. Can't see a great fall back given the increasing likelihood of a takeover. | ![]() warranty
21/2/2007 18:28 | good point and fingers crossed. | powerbook
21/2/2007 18:27 | it's only one broker's target and the target is still more than 20p above the current price - when we hit their target I expect they will raise it - I'm not here because of any broker's target more due to the company's prospects including takeover potential, imho | ![]() bountyhunter
21/2/2007 18:19 | i agree that we're at the bottom of a trendline. however the problem is that the broker's valuation may de-rail that uptrend. the fact that broker valuations tend to be at the top end won't help sentiment. either way i will trade the trend buying it if we hit 360p and make new highs. all i'm saying is that on balance i reckon we'll see 330p-320p before we next see 360p. good luck. | powerbook
21/2/2007 18:14 | doubt it, we are at the bottom of the current uptrend channel now and I expect the uptrend to continue from here | ![]() bountyhunter
21/2/2007 18:11 | no offence, but in my experience getting to 5.25p from a broker's target is pretty good going and a broker saying the shares are only worth 20p more may prove to be the "kiss of death". so we will prolly need to pullback before fresh buyers are enticed. in the absence of any news i would GUESS that buyers will stand aside watching for 320p support and if that fails, 300p support. but lets hope i'm wrong! | powerbook
21/2/2007 17:17 | and only a few days ago Cazenove upgraded their target to 360p "The waste management group Biffa has been a strong performer since demerging out of Severn Trent in October at 260p per share. The broker Cazenove thinks there is more upside left in the price, and upgraded its shares to "outperform" with a 360p price target, telling clients the company is set to benefit from pre-treatment of landfill waste. Biffa shares closed up 4.25p at 347.25p." | ![]() bountyhunter
21/2/2007 17:14 | Yes in todays Telegraph it says profit taking after the recent gains and they are a certain take over in 2007. | ![]() mitzis
21/2/2007 17:02 | given the rise since Dec I would not call the recent pullback a 'big fall', just some profit taking imo | ![]() bountyhunter
21/2/2007 16:54 | MMs might need to fill a buy order, some people panic sell when prices go down. Result MMs able to fill the order.... However might be completley wrong and there are other good reasons for the drop. Depends on what you feel about Biffa given all the available news that has been put Into the public domain. | ![]() luderitz |
