wiseacre - from what you are saying sounds like a stock overhang has impacted the share price So clear the overhang and we should get a bounce back up, to some degree anyway.

This is a repost of Lessee's comment this morning on the LSE board about uranium prices in general (many thanks to him/ her):

Catalyst: U.S. DOE makes large cuts to 2017 and 2018 uranium transfers
Event: The U.S. Department of Energy (“DOE”) has released a Secretarial Determination that notably reduces the maximum amount of uranium that can be transferred to contractors for cleanup services at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

Bottom line: Very Positive. The development is positive to the uranium sector as it reduces the amount of uranium that was being dispersed into the market by the U.S. DOE. The 2M lbs U3O8 equivalent for the remainder of 2017 and 3.1M lbs U3O8 equivalent for 2018, are notably less than the 5.5M lbs U3O8 equivalent that was occurring in prior years. This is effectively an annual cut of 2.4M lbs from the market for the next two years, which is about half of the annual amount cut by Kazatomprom when it announced production reductions earlier this year of about 5.2M lbs U3O8. That announcement spurred a rally in the uranium spot price from US$20.25/lb to a peak of US$26.00/lb, or by 28%. We believe this announcement should provide a boost to the sector.

We should see a turn of fortune now one of the permit obstacles has been resolved. Still some challenges ahead (expect thumbs down for that of course) but positive momentum feels to be building. Clearly the buying in the second half of the last trading day was influenced by those that caught on to the news that Lango posted.

EL MUNDOConstruction of an open-pit uranium depositThe judge again allows the cutting of oaks in the Salamanca mine The construction of the uranium mine in Salamanca continues. The precautionary stoppage of the oak logging of the Retortillo dehesa, under which the deposit of this radioactive mineral is found, gave some relief to the local population opposed to the mining project. However, this Friday it has been known that the judge of the Contentious-Administrative Court number 2 of Salamanca has raised the measure, taken last April 19. In the case, which has been accessed by EL MUNDO, the judge points out that, after examining the acts and allegations presented, "it considers that there are no circumstances justifying the maintenance of the suspension measure." The document indicates that the company Berkeley Minera "has the Environmental Impact Statement that allows the removal of the vegetal soil in the affected areas for the development of the area of Retortillo Sur ..." In addition, it emphasizes that " Of the Territorial Delegation of the Board of Castile and Leon in which it is indicated that it is not necessary the authorization for the cut of the tree because it is already authorized. " The report on the impact of the construction of the mine in the area, which has a part included in the Natura 2000 Network, was carried out by the Castilla y Leo?n Regional Government and ended with the formulation of an "environmental impact statement in favorable terms With protective measures, "clarify sources of the Board. Following the project, Berkeley must "forested with a density of 400 feet / hectare the entire surface affected by the mining facilities and forest a minimum surface of 75 additional hectares, which means the planting of 30,000 new holm oaks", according to the car of the judge.Berkeley Minera said in a statement that the company "is very pleased that the Court has acknowledged that the documentation submitted by the Company confirms that logging has been approved by all relevant authorities."

Thanks Lango...as I have always contended...you post research relevent good or bad. Up to to now the research has not been what people want to see albeit truthful. Here we have positive news which it appears you are the only poster to have spotted it....thanks again.

The judicial order establishes, in its legal basis, that "after the examination of the acts and the assessment of the allegations made by each of the parties" during the hearing last Wednesday "there are no circumstances that justify the maintenance of the measure Of suspension ".

Thanks Herlat. Seems I was right and Mr & Mrs Thumbs Down were wrong in that strong buying finally arresting the decline. The risks are beginning to temper now (for me at least) and although it is still a waiting game I believe buyers will see this as a risk worth taking at this stage of the game.

Berkeley Energia | Buy | 90p TP | March Quarterly updateThe highlights of what has been a very busy quarter for the company are: the advancement of the land acquisition programme which is nearing completion; and the fact that the company has been able to secure a reagents supply agreement at costs significantly below the DFS forecast. This adds to the momentum in the project economics triggered by the capex savings on the crushing circuit. The longer term driver of value could be the delineation of additional high grade resource below Zona 7 where the company has found high grade intersections in its drilling. Positively the company is being very active in building its relationship with the local community through skills training courses. This is building goodwill which should stand the project in good stead in the future. BKY ended march with cash of $29m and no debt. It continues to advance discussions with strategic partners and potential financiers which are currently undertaking legal and technical due diligence. The company is not considering project finance and the financing will therefore not be conditional on the arrangement of offtake contracts. This will allow the group to slowly build a book of long term offtake contracts at attractive prices, rather than rush to fill the book which would see contracts struck on today's relatively low levels. The update on permitting points to the strong political and community support for the project and highlights that the company is permitted for all of the pre-construction infrastructure work that is currently ongoing. The next approvals are the locally issued Urbanism Licence and Construction Authorisation for the treatment plant as a radioactive facility from the Ministry for Industry, Energy and Tourism which are in progress. PH View: We expect the permitting of Retortillo to be complete by the end of 2017 which should leave the company on track to deliver on current development timeline expectations. Our valuation and forecasts remain unchanged.

Can't see anything to complain about in the quarterly report. Bearing in mind the 45p institutions paid in last November's oversubscribed placing to raise US$30 million the shares look oversold. I am told the holding taken by Blackrock has been taken by another institution (yet to be revealed). The company attributes the weakness to private investors. It's puzzling as IMHO this share looks a no-brainer and one day the company is likely to be taken over by one of the major mining companies. I suppose short-term punters don't have the patience but I can't see any further downside at this price. The trigger for a surge in share price is likely to be the revelation of a joint venture partner which the company has referred to. It has also stated it is not looking to project debt financing and not dilute current shareholders.

Quarterly report released by BKY. It reads very well, yet it has been met by a further share price fall. I bought more shares this morning @ 42p, but I must admit I'm puzzled. There seems to be either a disconnect between the share price and reality, or I am perceiving "reality" incorrectly.

Berkeley is "very pleased" to show that it has "all permits"
in Retortillo
The company Berkeley Minera Espan?a has stated that it is "very satisfied" for "having had
the opportunity to present all the documentation and the necessary tests" in
Salamanca to demonstrate that it has "all the required permissions" for the work that is

"We have worked very hard over the last decade and will continue to do so in order to offer
all relevant authorities the highest level of confidence in the project," he said in reference
to the mine that it intends to open in the province of Salamanca.
In this sense, it has argued that the Environmental Impact Statement and the Mining
Exploitation Concession, both granted in October 2013 and April 2014 respectively,
"authorize logging and both are firm and can not be questioned now", has Added.
The Company has indicated that it has obtained more than 90 favorable reports and
permits to date and that it has "all necessary permits for the work currently being carried
