21/4/2017 18:20 | Seriously Marvelman you have made your profit and yet you still keep posting? Why not invest your profits elsewhere and follow that story? Why are you and Lango, neither of you by your own admission hold any shares in Berkeley, so obsessed with posting on this Board? | herlat1
21/4/2017 18:19 | Frankly I think time will show that lango has missed out here...I've just massively topped up my holding with another 18,000... this is a no-brainer IMHO and an excellent repository for some of my ATYM profits (don't worry, lango has not been averse to the odd negative comment on ATYM as well)... If he is a genuine environmentalist I respect his view, but otherwise, this is going to be one of the top 10 uranium mines in the world; to will create at least 2500 new jobs in a massively depressed region of Spain; it will supply uranium to the 190 plants in Europe that are currently supplied from the likes of Putin; it has benefited from a massive amount of EU funding of infrastructure; and every deal they do has Euratom's blessing... apart from which, nuclear is the cleanest ground sourced energy on the planet... This will happen and in a couple of years I will be making a bomb.... AIMHO as usual... | rougepierre
21/4/2017 18:09 | Silly comment herlat and unworthy of you. | marvelman
21/4/2017 18:01 | Marvelman i dont think the Company has ever said anything about two years. This was Lango repeating the green spin. The real question is that now that you have sold and shared your investment brilliance with us all - is it not time to move on and invest your profits elsewhere? | herlat1
21/4/2017 17:23 | Different people have different investment strategies, and I have tried to adopt different trading / investment strategies over the years. I have found that the more frequently I trade, each time I make less profit(scalping a bit here and there). It is really a case of hare v tortoise. Some investments have grown many folds without me doing anything. I would therefore conclude by saying that if you have faith in a good company you should stick with it for the long term (5 or more years) and will not regret your decision. The more you trade the more likely that some of your trades will go wrong and wipe out all your other gains. | kingston78
21/4/2017 17:06 | Marvelman, I should confess that I have been managing the decline (selling peaks, buying dips), and not just passively waiting for the turnaround. So, of course, I'm down, but by a lot less than perhaps you imagine. I take your point about due diligence. But you should also remember that the institutions who invested in the last placing will also have done serious due diligence at that time. | bookwormrobert
21/4/2017 16:55 | Thanks Marvelman. I agree that there is negativity out there but the fact is that the mine is being built and obviously you are still interested otherwise you wouldn't still be posting! | herlat1
21/4/2017 16:51 | Bookworm. I don't believe I or even langostine have been laughing at this situation and certainly not at anyone invested here. I realy believe you are missing the point. You and some others (from what I can gather) have sat here with your investment and have not moved from your intransigent position of assuming that the longer term position regarding full production will justify short term pain in the share price However, that strategy has not worked due to the fact that many other investors have decided to move out until the position relating to permits has been clarified. The company itself have accepted that production is unlikely to begin in earnest for up to 2 years. Also, it is unlikely any company doing due diligence would not sanction funding until all obstacles are overcome and all legalities are in place. I do believe just as you do in the need for a balanced electricity generation policy to include nuclear but just as Heathrow has demonstrated the locals and greenies have an overblown influence on these matters and know just what spokes need to be put into the machinery to disrupt the smooth flow of progess. I will surely invest back into this once the position is more certain and will therefore miss a percentage of the upside but at least I am not sitting in this share seeing my investment wither away with no idea as to how low it may end up before positive news (if that is what it is) arrives. | marvelman
21/4/2017 16:32 | A few tree huggers are never going to stop this going into production. Now where did I put my chainsaw.? | mcpaulas
21/4/2017 16:26 | Marvelman, he who laughs last laughs longest. This mine will make it into production, of course; the main permits have already been granted, and it has strong support at local, national and EU level. All the protestors are really doing are lining the pockets of a sackful of lawyers, and possibly causing a few weeks' delay. So, IMHO, a wonderful buying opportunity for the brave... | bookwormrobert
21/4/2017 14:36 | To be fair herlat the negative news regarding the permits, investigatio | marvelman
21/4/2017 14:19 | Open Minded? Then why does Lango only post negative news? This company has done everything it said it would do. Maybe Lango is trying to share the pain of his losses on Emed by posting anti-nuclear nonsense? (Hat-tip to the vegetarian greenies who agree with the EU that nuclear power is 'indispensable' to meet the 2030 carbon targets.) | herlat1
21/4/2017 11:57 | No, but we are it seems both open minded. | marvelman
21/4/2017 11:30 | Marvelman are you Lango in disguise? | herlat1
21/4/2017 11:12 | These bulletin boards are an incredibly good vehicle for the transfer of information between investors. I have certainly benefited from information I had missed which was extremely pertinent to my investment prospects in this company. Having taken the opportunity to use the said information given free of charge by langostino in particaular I have saved myself a great deal of money. For others who have preferred to keep their ego intact...they have now lost a great deal of money. | marvelman
21/4/2017 10:39 | I'm a big fan of Berkeley herlat just concerned about the recent drop in share price as I'm sure you are. My last comments are perfectly fine, we all have our opinions. | laptop15

21/4/2017 09:16 | Laptop15 PA sold 135,000 out of nearly 7 million held hmm... | herlat1
21/4/2017 09:08 | Laptop15 that is a very serious allegation to put in writing to be perfectly honest. | herlat1
21/4/2017 09:05 | Court case weighing on peoples mind i guess....the 100 year old trees have caused a halt in some of the operations. I guess we will find out the outcome next week?? El pais did a big article on it!! Will a golden hand shake take place or will it temporally halt the operations/construct | laptop15
20/4/2017 16:41 | paul atherley.... hmmm..... | loveandmoney1
20/4/2017 16:39 | That makes three of us. | bookwormrobert
20/4/2017 15:30 | Speaking of the Paul Atherley presentation on 1st April, here is a link: hxxp://www.shareprop I too am disappointed that he has not followed-through on his word about reassurring investors regarding environmental concerns during the following week. I am looking for support around here on the chart..... Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
20/4/2017 11:56 | Since a peak of 68p in February this stock has bombed by 40 per cent. At the UK investor show (1st April),in answer to a question at his presentation, managing director Paul Atherley said he would make an announcement the following week in which he would address the environmental concerns. He did not do so. Let us hope that at the quarterly report, which must be imminent, he will give the assurance investors clearly want. Without question the shares currently look good value but PIs appear to be losing heart with a continuous drip of small sells. | wiseacre |
