Base Resources has released its FY22 full year results to the ASX.Key pointsFY22 final dividend of AUD 3.0 cents per share (unfranked) determined.Record revenue of US$279.1m following a 33% increase in average realised unit sales price, record EBITDA of US$158.7m and NPAT of US$80.7m.Production of 74,349 tonnes of rutile, 325,148 tonnes of ilmenite, 25,569 tonnes of zircon from Kwale Operations.Continued strengthening of demand for all products, with increases in average achieved prices of 26% for rutile, 42% for ilmenite and 57% for zircon compared to FY21.Kwale Operations mine life extended to December 2024.Tanzanian exploration program commenced, with an air core drill program planned for FY23.Discussions with the Government of Madagascar on the fiscal terms applicable to the Toliara Project now at an advanced stage

From share price AngelBase Resources (BSE LN) 17.5p, Mkt cap £206m – Annual resource and reserve statementBase Resources has released its annual resource statement, which has reduced due to mining depletion during the year to 30 June 2022.Total mineral Resources reduced by 26Mt containing 0.9Mt of heavy mineral, while ore reserves reduced by 18Mt containing 0.6Mt of heavy mineral.As of 30 June 2022, MI&I resources as follows:Kwale – 205mt at average heavy mineral grade of 1.7%Ranobe – 2,580mt at average heavy mineral grade of 4.3%The 2022 Kwale Mineral Resources estimate represents a decrease of approximately 49Mt (or 19%) in material tonnes containing 1.2Mt of HM compared to the 2021 MRE.There was no depletion at Ranobe as Base is currently progressing the project towards development.

From a Proactive article :-Turning to the Ranobe deposits in Madagascar, Base Resources said estimated mineral resources were 2,580Mt containing 111Mt of HM, which represented a 99% increase in material tonnes and a 68% rise in contained HM tonnes compared with the 2021 estimate. Ore reserves at Ranobe were estimated to be 904Mt containing 55Mt of HM as at 30 June, an increase of 54% in material tonnes and 45% in contained HM tonnes compared with last year's estimate.

And I believe this is importantly the case. - Proposals now supported by President's Advisors. Earlier in year there were indications things were moving with others being granted approval. Surely fiscal terms will be granted very soon - must be getting close. I'm sure the Co expected them by now. I remain positive they will be sorted this quarter. A positive announcement is going to catch many by surprise.

Hi mark that’s why I asked “have we news from Madagascar “ not exactly crystal ball glazing
Have to agree with your comments regarding Madagascar and illegal mining
The problem being Far Eastern country.s just moving in and squatting on mineral rich land being it Gold ,diamonds-and more recently rare earth minerals
The Madagascar infrastructure can’t cope with these illegal activities
Our company are working strictly by the book to restart our mine from development to production
Yes it’s very disappointing we have to be in this situation but we must carry on with our ongoing discussions on fiscal terms
We have the licences we just need the rubber stamped agreement
Anyway mark we all need patience it’s been ongoing for several years

Not yet, so much for your crystal ball moments Jane! But there has been a bit of positive movement in the share price on low volume, based on no news. Madagascar ministry of mines seems to be concentrating on clamping down on illegal gold mining by organised foreign gangs, no reports of a diplomatic breakthrough so not expecting a Toliara "fiscal terms" outcome any time soon.

As expected from Australian stock exchange Base up another 2.7% close time this morning
Plas ime sure I read a comment on the base twitter account that the fiscal terms were acceptable with the agents acting on Madagascar governments behalf and they would recommend them
However I can’t find that particular tweet now

Hi plasybryn no this is not a teaser I’ve been with this one for a considerable few years and follow the trading trends every day in Australia and the uk ,
and we have moved into a buy and an share price move north scenario based on my trading formula
The charts between may 2021 and July to September 2021 bearing good indication of a move higher this next few weeks
I also believe that news from Madagascar regarding an agreement being reached is imminent as the agency people negotiating on the Madagascar governments behalf have recommended acceptance of the fiscal terms to them
