13/4/2022 06:45 | HL missed their monthly payout date as a result of the delays which they still say wasn't their fault dispute BSE saying they were given plenty of notice of the changes - Cheque to automated payment. Yet other Brokers managed to pay on time which suggests to me the Co is right and HL is wrong. They are always reluctant to apologise or admit failings/errors which is obviously ingrained in their operating ethos. | plasybryn
13/4/2022 00:10 | @marktime1231: report them to the FCA and to your local MP. I'm sure they used the cash to pad their accounts over year end. Maybe report them to their auditor too. | daemonfunds
12/4/2022 14:17 | As forewarned HL are showing the BSE dividend as having been paid / credited for tax purposes to our accounts on the due date eg 31 March, but actually mine did not get paid until yesterday 11 April. Since this debacle spanned the tax year I have print-screened a record from the the income account history which clearly shows a "trade date" of 11 April versus a "settle date" of 31 March. Whether or not HL's treatment of this for tax purposes is the correct one would be an interesting conversation to have, it would probably end with me mostly shouting down telephone. | marktime1231
11/4/2022 19:21 | Got mine from HL as well after kicking up a big fuss. James is a star and so keen to support us investors as much as he can/is allowed. That sounds encouraging Jane. | plasybryn
11/4/2022 19:13 | Talks are ongoing in Madagascar between our directors and 2 of the Madagascar advisors appointed by Madagascar government No news as to when decisions or reinstated work permits but recent communication with James Fuller confirms discussions are ongoing Regards Jane | janekane
11/4/2022 17:20 | Mine's not in my account yet.....maybe in the morning. I'll check again then. | flashheart
11/4/2022 17:08 | That's great. Thanks for the update mt. | flashheart
11/4/2022 16:05 | At last the divi has landed, I make that 10 days late. Not expecting an honest explanation, but it all points to another HL mix up. Right, can we have some good news from BSE please, it is about 2 1/2 years since they were ordered to down tools at Toliara by the previous Madagascar regime. Update on discussions with the new minister perhaps? | marktime1231
09/4/2022 06:43 | I've discovered it is as a result of HL's failure to act when the Co moved from cheque to payment system. They were given adequate time to adjust their systems. They are now playing catch up with Computershare to get this corrected. This is not acceptable. Surely they should take the hit and pay shareholders now. I have written to them saying this can't be FSA compliant. What is also annoying is the hiding of the failure, and the lack of preparedness to apologise. | plasybryn
08/4/2022 15:37 | I agree flashheart. No proper apology or details of the problem. We seem helpless to get any proper answers but I don't think it is good enough. | plasybryn
08/4/2022 07:24 | I've just messaged them complaining. A week is unacceptable in my book. | flashheart
08/4/2022 07:17 | FWIW, just checked - still no payment in HL | value hound
08/4/2022 06:10 | I replied to their Tweet as follows:-Kind of you to reply. I think we had the same problem last time which suggests regretfully nothing was done to ensure we didn't get a repeat. Hopefully sorted for next time unless of course and even better, Madagascar is go & needs the cash? | plasybryn
08/4/2022 06:09 | Received this helpful reply from BSE via Twitter. Carefully not attributing blame."we are aware of the issue, have identified the problem and are working with the related parties to rectify it. Not in our control, so can't comment on timing but everyone is committed to getting these payments out ASAP. Thanks for your patience!" | plasybryn
07/4/2022 11:37 | I think to be honest we could all find good and bad experiences with any of the top brokers. A little bit like the big four banks and who you hold an account with. Difficult to achieve consistency with any of them I would have thought. It's useful to discuss various experiences though in order to make an informed decision. | flashheart
07/4/2022 11:29 | marktime1231 - I'd be interested to hear what type of problems you have had with II. I use Saxo Bank, II and HL - mostly to reduce platform risk. Never had a problem with II in 10+ years, HL have been so-so and Saxo Bank are pretty poor. I'm slowly selling down my Saxo portfolios and moving them to HL. | brownmruk
07/4/2022 10:16 | Thanks for that marktime. | flashheart
07/4/2022 07:01 | Already have my SIPP with them; generally prefer HL | value hound
07/4/2022 06:50 | Change your broker to Interactive investor they are very good | janekane
07/4/2022 06:49 | Yes - still not credited in HL this morning | value hound
07/4/2022 06:46 | Yes completely unacceptable when other brokers have done so. Not a level playing field. | flashheart
06/4/2022 19:42 | Still waiting for the dividend from HL. It doesn't seem right that investors should have to wait so long. | plasybryn
06/4/2022 14:03 | Some one just invested £9.45k we could c a .25p tick up later today | janekane
06/4/2022 05:57 | They are not on there own However III are on the ball, always the day after divi paid into their account you get it | janekane |
