The news from Kenya is very good it keeps us busy till 2024 /2025

“With the recently released Bumamani Pre-Feasibility Study supporting further extension to Kwale mine life to mid-2024,

the focus is on completing the Definitive Feasibility Study and securing the required tenure arrangements. Looking further ahead, we are pursuing wider exploration opportunities in both Kenya and northern Tanzania.”

Phew my divi finally landed.

Does anyone know if the net effect of the deal announced yesterday improves the accounts and balance sheet?

The backdated Kenya royalty agreement announced today, and writing off the VAT reclaim, are described in positive terms, but is it good news? Worth it to extend Kwale? The share price on the up.

Forgot it was payday, but it has not arrived.

Canaccord upped their target price to 50p on the strength of that Toliara pitch, even allowing for the chance that BSE may have to give up a 20% stake to the Minister of Mines.

Also, just checked back to the dividend announcement and it is being paid out of conduit foreign income so we will not have to suffer withholding tax - yay!

That was Base presenting a very long business case for Toliara, rehashing old data and revisiting its investment plans to emphasise what an exciting (stalled) prospect it is. Who do you think it was trying to send a message to?

BASE seems a great ESG Company that takes all these issues very seriously. They use Twitter a lot to explain what they are doing on these softer but still very important issues. Winning hearts and minds etc. I think they should demand quite a lot of respect. I'm sure the powers that be in Kenya & Madagascar are fully aware of these responsible actions and programmes. Well done BASE.

The officials were on a stakeholder visit to benchmark and understand how Base has been able to manage and implement its Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programmes and entrench a culture of safety among staff and contractors.

Yes I'm sure your right but they have clearly indicated excess cash will be returned to shareholders so while the dividend will be suspended to fund new mines the increased revenue will support future cash returns.

A new mine in its self should push the share price higher so you will gain that way
This will climb to 20p plus over the next 3 months a very merry Christmas to us all

@soleman1: i think as soon as they find something to mine the div will stop as they will use that cash to fund the setup of the new mine
