09/3/2020 06:35 | Here we go boys.. Sabres at the ready, this is going to be like the Charge of the Light Brigade. As I said a few days back... pick the worst stop loss you can imagine if you were already holding, and don't buy until it's there. Good Luck. Very very likely to see price starting with a 2 today. | ![]() bennodean

09/3/2020 01:39 | I’m in states and looking at Dow futures down 5%. Oil down 30% . I think its mainly energy and energy related stocks that are getting smacked. Aviva should now be seen as a defensive stock , however I don’t see stock price going north . I’m also not worried about corona linked claims on travel insurance given , first port of call for a claim is the airlines , car hire allows you to cancel at no loss subject to 24 hr notice and most hotels 7 days. I don’t know if there will be claims on conferences cancelled. Positive side is there will be less car accidents as traffic has lessoned , less home burglary’s and going forward people will be more likely to spend money on travel insurance | ![]() whatsup32

08/3/2020 22:19 | BBC news saying Italian health care system is first class. There must be hundreds of thousands in Italy with it. Cant test them quickly enough. In the uk. We know those that have tested positive. We know those tested positive who have died. We know those who have tested positive who have recovered. We do not know how many who have it but have not been tested. We do not know how many who have had it but recovered with mild symptoms. It is obvious the fatality rate will be much lower that first impressions. | ![]() careful

08/3/2020 20:07 | W1NDJAMMER 8 Mar '20 - 12:45 - 1046 of 1068 "in 2015/ 2016 SK had 15,495 deaths from influenza" Perhaps todays stats from Italy will get you thinking then... Italy total infections so far 7375, of which only 5883 were discovered by yesterday. We know it takes > 24hrs to kill CV19 deaths in Italy just today 133 ! That is 2.26% of all up to yesterdays patients in one day As far as Outcomes are concerned 366 deaths 622 recovered That's 37% Alternatively one day deaths 133 in a total population of about 11 million Extrapolating that would be 48500 in a year Using the USA analogy based on a USA population of 327m Unchecked it could kill 1.44 million of them in a year - not the 45,000 that Flu gets ! Italy's deaths are presumably verified stats. They are a much higher rate than China. Wonder why ? Govt's who know a lot more than we do are taking this very seriously. | ![]() fenners66

08/3/2020 14:30 | W1NDJAMMER 8 Mar '20 - 12:34 - 1043 of 1060 "fenners against your figures the mortality rate for SK is 0.69% which is below seasonal flue" Lets suppose someone gets diagnosed with terminal cancer and is given 3 months to live.... You check back with them a week later and find they are still alive... So you tell them that seasonal flu is worse? Or do you wait to see if they recover ? Its the outcome rate of death that matters , not the fact that every day there are more new cases which you use to divide to get a death rate. | ![]() fenners66
