So Jaf - do you think the issue of a special dividend was just to assuage the appetites of hungry long term investors here or a statement of intent for the future? Get your AAU shares in account and watch out for future developments...

Charles,

The 'doom and gloom' is based on three years of a falling share price. The optimism is based on hopes and wishes from a management team who have yet to deliver.

Far from revelling in bad news, I would like nothing more than to be able to write positive things about Ariana when there is something positive to write about.

Some people revel in posting doom and gloom, but we know the company well enough to realise that this is a clever diversion from the truth for the purpose of driving down the purchase price. When the achievements and plans are finally revealed, we will no doubt be surprised, no, shocked by the upside available to investors. This opportunity will be impossible to ignore imho.

I also think the proposed output from Tavsan will surprise to the upside.

Travesty??? After being here for only 7 years, 3p would be a complete disaster, and I know some on here have been around for much longer.

And they never have Nov31.

I disagree about being taken out though. I can't think there would be many companies who would want Ariana’s scattered portfolio of bits of assets.
I think the Ozaltin deal was just as much about preserving the company from take out as lowering their risk to Turkey.

That said, chuck me a 3 penny piece per share and I would be outta here.

I do wonder if somebody is trying to push this under 2p? We could be taken out very easily from here - a 50% higher offer at 3p would be a travesty. This is way oversold at this level but we’ve all stuffed our draws with AAu shares already and neither Yellow Jersey or the BOD seem to want to do anything that might encourage new investors.

This not good enough for one day Claret? Don't want to tax shareholders brains.

Perth is a mining town.
And this is exactly why we have an office there! We cannot get closer to all the action!

and its not likely to anytime soon. Even with Tavsan up and running its not going to move share price much, as AAU only own 23% of it. Still no news from Salinbas, and don't mention Venus Minerals.
Anyone got any positive news?

Certainly seems 2 is the new 3. And of course 3 was the new 4. Basically the share price has done nothing u 4 years.

Another teaser from Ariana -

Perth is a mining town.
And this is exactly why we have an office there! We cannot get closer to all the action!

Another hint I suppose at an Australian project. Isnt Panther's flagship Coglia project that way?

The average operating cost of our Kiziltepe Mine has been about US$650/oz for most of its 7 year life so far. Costs have been rising as we have progressed to lower grade areas and input costs have increased but we remain highly competitive in comparison.

They've had millions of dollars in cash for nearly 3 years now so I don't think the length of time that deals take is a big factor.

Definitely Shortarm.

Also ref the Cononish mine, it's a different kind of mining being underground and stoping but now to try and save it they need to try a different type of stoping (long hole), totally out of Kerim's wheelhouse and jurisdiction and also we know he doesn't want 100% involvement in any project.
AISC in projects like this can soon spiral out of control.

Agreed, Kerim is not stupid but he is a fan of lowest quartile costs so I don't think SGZ was the target. Would be nice to get some actual news ref Harding the target! Or any news for that matter lol.

Not exactly bigglesbingham, although I don't think AAU are ruthless enough, I don't think Kerim is stupid either.
One sure fire way of you never getting a return on your massive investment would it be to take that dog of a project on.
There are some interesting TV programs about when ScotsGold took over the mine to getting it in production. Worth a watch.

You have to imagine that their negotiations have not been successful considering they are unable to RNS anything for such a long time?
