I see, I doubt that Scot Gold was ever even in the sights of AAU but if I'm honest I would not be averse to a bit really of ruthlessness being shown in general, In business nice uuys don't generally come first!

I think Soul is implying he doesn't think AAU are ruthless enough to conduct business that way. Kerim said they are looking at a major project which implies they were in discussions. I agree with Soul in that I think AAU are too ethical to use administrative procedures to buy or partner companies (whom they would be potentially working with in the future) at a discount price. Kerim said opportunity was in Aussie but can't fit life of me remember where I saw or heard that reference.

Why Phewwww? The talks have broken down between Scot Gold and their potential suitor, which would have enabled Scot Gold to soldier on in their current form. If they go into administration it will be the administrators running the show and their job is to find someway to keep the business going, probably by shafting the current lenders and other creditors and wiping out the current equity holders. If that fails the company goes into liquidation. Any interested party wanting to pick up the mine will potentially get the best price, and control, from the administrators once appointed, so still in the future.

Potential Administration Appointment

On 16 October, the Company announced that it was in advanced financing discussions with a strategic investor. Unfortunately, these discussions have not resulted in an investment at this time.

Therefore, the directors, having assessed the options open to them, are now considering the appointment of Administrators over the coming days.

Further announcements will be made in due course.

Part of the reason for this is that the geographic distribution of major copper deposits places them in jurisdictions that have become progressively harder to operate within, for political, environmental or ethical reasons among others.



Gold continuing to shine as the only true form of money.
Bitcoin provides some of the functionality of gold but can only exist in a technological world. Without the internet it is nothing. Whereas gold has the capacity to outlive entire civilizations and represents enduring wealth. [is the internet disappearing in the near future? Hope not because we are going cashless]
