03/10/2023 10:12 | Yes, I think 10% is achievable collectively. Not sure that all would vote the same way though! Am I right in thinking that first gold at Tavsan is proposed to be 2024 Q2? | ![]() jaynesdad
03/10/2023 08:38 | The annual inflation in Turkey clocked in at 61.53% in September, the Turkish Statistical Institute announced in a report released on Tuesday. The figure was up from the last month's reading, but came in slightly below analysts' expectations. The largest annual growth of inflation was registered in the category of hotels, cafes, and restaurants, with prices surging by 92.48% compared to the same month in the previous year. Housing recorded the smallest growth again in September, where prices rose 20.16% on an annual basis. Month on month, consumer prices in September jumped 4.75%. Meanwhile, producer prices in September shot up 47.44% year over year, while the reading was up 3.40% in comparison to August. | ![]() xow98

03/10/2023 07:46 | I'm not sure about sharegolders getting cold feet - it's more that the big holders don't care, and the small holders don't have the votes to have an impact. Did they ever publish the voting numbers? Even if everyone who posts here worked in concert, do we have even 10%? | zangdook

02/10/2023 17:19 | You make good points Plas Has occurred to me that with inflation running at the highest rate for decades over the past couple of years and Ozaltin not exactly getting on with the task then $8m was a pretty cheap price paid. I assume when the $8m is used up then any further drilling necessary afterwards falls back on the JV. | ![]() jaynesdad

02/10/2023 16:39 | We've been talking about the inherent weakness of the Board for a very long time, but I'm afraid when the opportunity comes to do something about it, shareholders seem to get cold feet. In my opinion the latest Interims again show how little interest is taken in building the Co's value. The Resource for Kiziltepe should have been prioritised years ago to ensure there was never any question of a gap between Tavsan starting and Kiziltepe ending. The potential is apparently there to extend the Life of Mine, and have both operating in tandem for sometime, but the resource/reserve should have been proven up, as that would have driven real value. The up front funds of $8m to accelerate the advancement of Salinbas should have provided another very strong value line to the business, but the progress has been pathetic and without a Gantt chart detailing the Co's expectations for delivery on its "octopus" tentacles , how are shareholders expected to judge where and when the growth is coming from? If it were a Private Co. you wouldn't need to worry about the Market Capitalisation but it isn't and the Board is answerable to shareholders, who have allowed this to happen. So it is our fault. | ![]() plasybryn
02/10/2023 16:17 | Replacing the chairman, now that's a different question. | ![]() jaynesdad
02/10/2023 16:07 | JaynesDad, That's the problem with logic statements - I wasn't saying Ariana WILL get to its large market cap with a new CEO; I was just saying it is unlikely to get there with the status quo. But I agree with your points, and yours, xow98. | ![]() jaf1948
02/10/2023 15:25 | A more focussed, better quality Chairman who can take things off KS's hands and drive the company forwards is required. Can't see KS giving up the CEO role and can't see AAU progressing as much without him long term. | ![]() xow98
02/10/2023 15:19 | Not sure about that jaf I can see a more focussed CEO (as in focussed on one role in the company not several) improving shareholder communications and time estimates, which would maybe bolster the share price a little as more credence would be given to presentations and announcements. But I cant see it ensuring that a £28m market cap company gets to half a billion in (from memory) 7 years. That can only happen with spectacular operational success. Id be happy if the aim was a £100m company by the end of, say, 2027 which I believe is possible with Tavsan in full production, something sorted out in Cyprus and proper proress being made at Salinbas/Ardala with an outline of processing plan development there and some progress at Project Leopard and Kosovo. | ![]() jaynesdad
02/10/2023 10:56 | I would like to be proven wrong but I don't believe this company will achieve anything like those predictions until it has a full-time professional CEO. That person (he, she, non-binary penguin - I don't care what) will cost a lot of money but should pay for itself very quickly | ![]() jaf1948
02/10/2023 10:32 | A c.20 fold increase in the bid price in 6.25 years would be close to a miracle. I somehow doubt it will happen but anything over 20p would be a good result imho. Watch and wait again.... Gla. | ![]() bodgit
02/10/2023 10:20 | Well I obviously believe in this company (hence my continued presence here), but not certain that 50p as likely should the projected market capitalisation be reached. Apart from hitting targets on time, something AAU is not exactly famous for, your 50p assumes that the number of shares in issue remains unaltered. | ![]() jaynesdad
02/10/2023 10:07 | If the goal is 50p by 2030 it needs to go up 7 or 8p a year on average. | zangdook
02/10/2023 09:21 | Theory of repeat of share price pattern 5 yr ago still holding out, 3.5p in around a month on cards, but lots of up/down in between (within a given range) | ![]() thanksamillion |
