2.58p quote for 100k. Just flagging it, not trying to make a point. Should I be worried about the cash position being c. £4m, though I notice a gold bullion of near £2 which I assume is essentially cash? Winging it here, i'm not an accountant!

Is there a clear reason for the cash reduction here?

Foreign exchange?

Well Apliki lapsed a while ago, so I'd assume it's now a non-entity.

The team is currently working on a potential project which has the capacity to
become a significant opportunity for the Company, for which details will be provided as soon as we are able.

'Significant opportunity' still on the table too. I just need to live long enough, that is going to be something of a challenge!!

Venus now Q4, I'm reasonably sure they will manage that.
Zenit covering all of Tavsan costs, so less for AAU currently. But no loans to repay, which is a real result. Once Tavsan is up and running this should be looking rosy. Not long then...

Having read it (especially the accounts) I can understand the reluctance to make it public promptly, they probably needed toilet visit first.

Amateur getting the RNS out 2 hours late. Most people watch the 7a.m. releases then go to work, so are disadvantaged by a late release. Further proof that shareholders come second.

Well let's examine your statement Shortarm.

'However let us compare the situation to a number of other companies touted on here S good investments such as CHF, KAV, PALM etc. The best that they have achieved is to be one fifth of their original shareprice!'

But that isn't the best they have achieved is it? The best they have achieved is Palm and Chf around 18p and Kav around 6p.
Now 'one fifth of their original share price, errr no. Palm debuted at a touch below 4p and when it was touted on here and when I was first buying it you could pick it up for a touch under 3p, it is now 3.5p so how is that one fifth of their original price?
Chf and Kav, yes they are well under their listing price but there was money to be made in both as seen on their runs up. I made money on Chf and luckily didn't get wiped out, unfortunately I held on to Kav too long. But that is investing for you and NONE of these companies are producing hence the apples/oranges comment.

Now lets compare to Ariana.
In the same period Ariana has gone from 6p to 2.6p and was in danger of dropping into the 1's. The best Ariana did achieve was when it listed and has never matched it since, even been close or ever likely to be back to it.
Now for much of Ariana's existence up to being a producer it was in the low 2's, 1's and for much of it's time a fraction of a penny piece, now that was fractions of it's original price.

The thing is Ariana is a producer, has been for many years and never been able to get close to it's listing price.

So AAU is the least rotten egg of that bunch, but that still doesn't make it palatable.

It is easy to complain about lack of news and it is annoying. However let us compare the situation to a number of other companies touted on here S good investments such as CHF, KAV, PALM etc. The best that they have achieved is to be one fifth of their original shareprice!

Why change when those shareholders continually vote for the same BoD every year? Indicates shareholders are happy the way things are being run.

I love a good chat about reintroducing the shareholder focused, friendly Gantt Chart. Bring it on I say. The Board have timescales they are working too, which are hopefully part of their KPI's ( bonus related) which ideally should be shared with us wee shareholders.

But that's a lazy argument bigglesbingham in all due respect.
Just because they can't ever stick to a time line it doesn't mean shareholders should be treat like mushrooms and not at least have some measurable visibility for our projects. That doesn't have to be a Gantt chart but at least some guide.
Its not as if shareholders are blind to the over runs so the moaning would be no different.
But if we don't get news on Venus tomorrow then to not stick to a time line in a matter of a few months has to be a new low even for Ariana so let's hope we are updated at least.

Agreed but I think we see Tavsan as pivotal to a safe 8 to 10 years of reliable production and possibly/ probably the key to a regular dividend stream. Hopefully during that time one (or more) of the other prospects will be in production too.
