23/9/2023 14:49 | Hopefully not another 14 years! I am only in 8 years, barely worth a mention! | ![]() jaynesdad
22/9/2023 16:13 | I was 65 when, just after meeting a young Kerim and doing some research, I first invested in AAU expecting a good profit to be just around the corner. Now 14 years later at 79 it is my biggest investment and still waiting to reach that corner which is hopefully not too far away. | ![]() coachsailor
22/9/2023 10:48 | It was tongue in cheek Thanks. I'll be investing it in AAU | ![]() claretandbluedave
22/9/2023 10:36 | Claret - at our age I am no longer looking for an investment that changes my life but if I can change my children's future for the better I will be happy. AAU could do that under the talented leadership of Kerim. That's good enough for me. | ![]() charles clore
22/9/2023 10:22 | Nothing like recommending a stock to give it the kiss of death, so sorry no advice from me. | ![]() thanksamillion
22/9/2023 10:08 | JaynesDad, will you never learn. ha ha. I'm 65, but with 3 children, who one day may eventually enjoy the fruits of AAU, but don't think it will be me. I get my state pension next year, maybe a need to invest it somewhere. Anyone any ideas ?? | ![]() claretandbluedave
22/9/2023 09:59 | 66 claret. Got the state pension this year. Well I did, now Ariana has got my state pension! Will I never learn, there's no fool like an old fool! | ![]() jaynesdad
22/9/2023 09:30 | I'm 70(admittedly a young 70) and I am not looking elsewhere, still adding at these ridiculous levels on the basis we will see good profits within 5yrs. | ![]() thanksamillion
22/9/2023 09:00 | I wish I had your positivity Charles. It is indeed a good company, but timescales must be taken with a pinch of salt. Anyone under 50 may do ok by retirement. Anyone over 65 might want to look elsewhere if they want to see some good profits, although they could leave a nice legacy for their kids, grandkids. | ![]() claretandbluedave
22/9/2023 00:47 | When people start to see real organic company growth and regular dividends it will change everything. Keep the faith and our patience will be rewarded. | ![]() charles clore
21/9/2023 22:19 | I really can understand people selling here. I know patience is key, but AAU really do stretch the point. Not so long ago it was getting all very exciting, but again is starting to feel disappointingly back to normal. One of life's great tests this one!! | ![]() dixi
21/9/2023 17:00 | Good luck with that one JD, Kerim has never been forthcoming with that sort of info. Worth remembering this is the latest slippage in a long saga with Venus and like I said earlier I am not sure what the point is of a Venus ipo without Apliki. But something has to give as they must be running short of cash. | ![]() soulsauce
21/9/2023 16:51 | Agree plasbryn I know it makes no difference in the grand scheme but I would prefer to be told before the deadline comes and goes that there has been a little slippage and giving a new realistic estimate. | ![]() jaynesdad
21/9/2023 16:29 | Project leopard is 100% and they know the area very very well and have access to Newmont data. I would be extremely surprised if they don't find what they likely already know is there! | ![]() shortarm
21/9/2023 16:18 | Yes his verbalised Market Cap target by the end of this decade is £500m. Looking increasingly like a classic J curve. Ha ha. Interims due buy end of Sept and the Venus IPO also, but my gut tells me there will be more unwelcomed slippage. I hope Kerim at least explains the position if the target date isn't going to be meet. | ![]() plasybryn
21/9/2023 16:13 | I admire your optimism Konil, I'm not quite as bullish as you! However the share price has been significantly higher, so who knows. I am really looking to some positive news in Eastern Turkey. I think many thought that the Ozaltin JV proposed in late 2019 would accelerate progress there - hence the rise to 6p in late 2020. Here we are, the best part of 4 years down the line with no real progress towards a mine in the east that we can see. In fact progress seems slower than ever! So please KS, lets have some focus there (though of course our previous 100% asset is now only 25% so we don't call the shots). My overall hope is that this small management team concentrate on what we have in the portfolio. No more irons in the fire while there is snail like progress on so many. | ![]() jaynesdad
21/9/2023 15:49 | I had thought KS' target was £500m? | ![]() dixi
21/9/2023 15:30 | jd, imo its good timing, cant follow suit as i'm all in. (sitting on massive loss mind you.) after tavsan in full production, probably late 2024, and after that is reported in the following set of results, i'd expect to see 7p or hopefully a bit more. if they monetise (sale?) some other asset sooner we may get there quicker. that would be about a third of the way to ks's £250m target. there are also 2 factors outside aau control, both of which are due to turn in aau's favour; - upswing in market sentiment - run up in pog if these kick in then 10p could come next year. too bullish? probably. just gassing while waiting. | ![]() konil
21/9/2023 15:21 | konil I have been buying more recently because of the Tavsan situation. Although some say it is better to travel than to arrive, I think that first production on time (oops, this is AAU we are talking about) will lift the shares above 3p. Trouble is that we need more momentum afterwards, not just exploration targets with many years to fruition. Re Tavsan, I know the areas for the pads are now levelled so presumably the liners in place soon, but what about other buildings needed to process? How on schedule are they? | ![]() jaynesdad
21/9/2023 15:07 | for my money the best thing about apliki was that it came fully permitted! i would guess those permits, or some of them have lapsed now. i've given up on hoping for apliki unless ks springs some surprise on us. still dont think we ever got a proper explanation for aau not taking the bull by the horns on apliki with all that cash available. (not that it matters a jot but i reckon aau did not have the management bandwith to cope with that...they could have brought that in...would have meant ks loosening the management reins a bit.) disappointing not to hear something by now about plans to progress "the most exciting exploration drilling results that we have ever announced" which were announced in june. am i surprised? not really. roll on tavsan... | ![]() konil
21/9/2023 14:30 | claretandbluedave I don't think Sunaks announcement comes as a big surprise, it was only a matter of when rather than if. The copper market is worldwide so I doubt a UK only decision will have much effect. As for Apliki, if the plant is hand in hand with the resource then why doesn't AAU go it alone and put the cash pile to better use? They can still form another JV per the model to capitalise the value added developed asset? | ![]() jaynesdad
21/9/2023 13:28 | Doesn't help the Venus IPO when our prime minister announces the delay in their great green agenda. Copper prices not likely to take off for some time now that they've moved the date out by 5 years for no new petrol/diesel cars. | ![]() claretandbluedave
21/9/2023 13:23 | If only JD. | ![]() soulsauce |
