Ariana share price is the opposite of petrol price on the forecourt - ours goes down quickly and takes forever to go back up.

@ArianaResources

Love the contrast between our investee companies - Panther Metals (#PNT) and Western Tethyan Resources (#WTR) - one baking in the heat of the Australian Outback, the other shivering in the snow of an Eastern European winter! Superb work all around! #AAU #gold #techmetals

I think I see where you are coming from paul, I did re-invest last divi in AAU, cant be bothered to do maths but it cant be far off your 16%. Just need to regain capital loss on the re-invested amount. :-(

Biggles,

I wasn't criticising the comment - I just didn't understand it. It came out on the post as:

Yield is y if we’d by Plas

so I just needed clarification of what you were trying to say.

Just saying I've no issues with Plas stating yield as return on investment. A lot depend on share price post divi but I think the price has been driven to ridiculous levels and is detached from true valuation. Some will argue true value is dictated by the shareprice but I don't feel that way.

Yep that's pretty much what I said Shortarm. In total, IF the final payment is agreed, the total divvy currently for next year is 9%
Payment made in March and September as you say.

No, the first payment is before the end of March - guaranteed! The second is subject to the AGM and is proposed for September. .35p in total, .175 in March.

Yep soul, you're correct. I stand corrected I was calculating based on the other 4.5% (0.175p) that has been indicated / promised - but you're right, not in March - likely June or July.

Apologies if I misled anyone

Nov31 do you have your maths right? The divvy is currently 9% for next year as a whole and not by March. It's 4.5% by March.
The final payment still needs clarification.

149,997 at 3.82p is my Chritmas present to myself. 9% yield by March is just fine....but don't want the yield to rise any further if you get what I mean.

Can you rewrite that last sentence please ?

In a large cap that's true but all down to whether you think the cash is funded into the price. Large caps don't have the huge percentage of cash we have so it's not like for like comparison. They are distributing cash wisely and not all at once. Yield is y if we'd by Plas as return on investment so no issues with it.

Anyone worked out the yield on the March dividend? Pretty tasty. At times like these just rejoice in the fact that you will still get your income by the end of March and if you buy more you will get a return which would take years to replicate in a Bank. Got to look on the bright side. And the value is still there. Nothing has changed. Value will out when it is good and ready.
