06/12/2021 14:46 | Regretfully I totally agree with your synopsis soulsauce. Not being approachable to shareholders, even those with considerable holdings, is very poor in my book. Most small Co's are so excited about what they are doing (have achieved/will achieve) it is sometimes hard to stop them talking. They live to tell you about it and are impressed when shareholders have done a bit of research to understand their Co. I can't believe Michael is too busy. It is probably more the case that Kerim wants to vet everything that is communicated and that isn't possible. His delegation skills are none existent. | ![]() plasybryn
06/12/2021 13:43 | I'm about to retire as an NED of a listed company. During that time I bought shares on multiple occasions, never sold and never had options. For executives there is an argument for non-excessive options, but for an NED, it's just greed. | ![]() donald pond
06/12/2021 12:58 | Plasybryn you could well be right. Whatever the reason the optics don't look great and the timing yet again rather poor after being buoyed for a very short time by Kerims buy in the market. But which ever way you slice it MdV has pocketed another million shares plus a nice wedge of cash on the free while diluting shareholders that were already suffering. And these shares will get the delayed divvy payment as well (cynical). If MdV had been promoting the company as he should or employing someone to do so, or being contactable by shareholders to answer questions instead of delegating it to the very poor Yellow Jersey then I don't think people would have much reason to moan. However as we know that is not the case. | ![]() soulsauce
06/12/2021 12:53 | Some good value building here. If it continues to fall the case for re-investing the dividend grows. Frustrating short term, long term it's a bargain. On the ground everything appears to be falling into place. No placings to worry about dilution or silly discounted purchases. Unfortunately I see it dropping further with the current market and currency issues in turkey, but our time will come again | ![]() drh3
06/12/2021 12:49 | Biggles, I apologize for my mini-tantrum. Some days, Ariana just pushes me too far ! | ![]() jaf1948
06/12/2021 12:29 | I suspect the Directors are struggling to find a clear window when they can trade the shares and take any opportunity that is offered to them. That seems to be taking precedence over managing the share price or worrying about shareholders. I suspect they are confident with the amount of news lined up, matters will correct themselves soon enough. With the bulk of Options behind us there isn't much dilution to worry about but from a shareholders perspective there doesn't seem to be much regard. So be it. | ![]() plasybryn
06/12/2021 12:24 | It tends to show AAU is unloved. Company needs to change that. Mine development is not exactly a quick process for meaningful news and revenue. So please AAU show some attitude!! | ![]() dixi
06/12/2021 12:18 | It may be one main seller obviously I don't mean every sell it by the same seller that would be stupid and unrealistic wouldn't it. The share is tightly held three sells affects the price. You comment re market implied the whole market that's my point. Your comments again illustrate that posts can be factually correct but worded to suit ones personal views. Anyway got work to do. | ![]() bigglesbingham
06/12/2021 12:11 | Biggles, The market makers have moved the price down - they are the people in charge so my comment is valid. Up to now, you have said it is one seller, now 'a small number of sellers' - amazing how wording of posts can be geared to suit personal views. It works both ways. Our directors have no idea how to run a public company IMO. They can run a great geological enterprise but appear have no interest in its shareholders bar two. | ![]() jaf1948
06/12/2021 12:05 | A small number of sellers hardly whole market. Amazing how wording of posts can be geared to suit personal views. | ![]() bigglesbingham
06/12/2021 11:59 | And yet again the market shows what it thinks about the latest RNS. | ![]() jaf1948
06/12/2021 10:15 | The chairman extracting nearly £40k cash from his shareholding is "showing faith in the company"? No, it isn't. And flooding the market at a time of share price weakness shows contempt for what the board love to call "loyal shareholders". To say nothing of simultaneously diluting our holdings. | zangdook
06/12/2021 09:54 | If only there was a requirement to include such information in any RNS where options have been exercised, there would be much better transparency. | ![]() zedder
06/12/2021 09:24 | Do we know how many Director Share Options are still to be exercised. There were 28m in the last AR &A but a good few of these have been exercised. I believe Michael has exercised 9m, Kerim 6m or is it 12m?And Chris and William 2m each. So the bulk of them at the ridiculous low stretch 1.55p are hopefully behind us. | ![]() plasybryn
06/12/2021 08:55 | xow & 5huu spot on. | ![]() soulsauce
06/12/2021 08:45 | I don't believe this is a lifestyle company, but for everything they get right in an operational & exploration sense, they get an awful lot wrong on the corporate side. If there's a wider investment opportunity here, then the very people that are paid to promote it need to get on and do so. | ![]() 5huu
06/12/2021 08:44 | But at lower price the cost to the company is lower as well. That said, we would all like a bonus for Xmas. Would have been more meaningful if he had sold only sufficient amount of shares to cover the cost of the options and the tax liability, roughly 1.5m shares. | ![]() xow98
06/12/2021 08:33 | The charge that this is becoming a lifestyle company is not helped when probably the only two long term shareholders in Ariana who will show a profit in 2021 are KS and MdV.I don't have a problem with options per se but I do resent them when the share price has fallen consistently throughout this year.End of rant. | ![]() jaf1948
06/12/2021 08:11 | The vast majority were not options please do your homework before posting misleading comments. | ![]() bigglesbingham
06/12/2021 08:09 | A director sale resulting in additional holding of 1m shares showing faith in the company and rewarding him for the shareprice being more than three times the value it was when the options were issued. | ![]() bigglesbingham
06/12/2021 08:05 | Panther Metals is set to hit the ASX with $5 million in the tin following an IPO that will focus on a plethora of walk-up targets at its nickel and gold assets in WA and the NT that look like they are begging to be drilled. London listed parent company, Panther Metals Plc, will spin out its Australian assets into the soon to be listed Panther Metals Ltd and the latter company will now sharpen its focus on its Australian exploration projects. The 20c IPO is expected to hit the boards at the ASX on Friday 10th of December 2021. | ![]() xow98
06/12/2021 08:04 | "But to add the vast majority of holdings have been bought in the market." Don't forget to subtract all the ones that have been sold in the market. | zangdook
06/12/2021 08:03 | How pleasant to wake up on Monday to another massive director sale, flooding the market at what we were hoping would be the bottom. | zangdook
06/12/2021 07:58 | But to add the vast majority of holdings have been bought in the market. | ![]() bigglesbingham |
