16/10/2020 15:57 | A possible explanation of "what has changed" is that a lot of investors simply didn't know anything about the N-K conflict. The last time there was a significant outbreak of the conflict was more than four years ago. The last time things were as bad as they are now was more than 25 years ago. AIM doesn't inspire loyalty at the best of times. For some finding out about N-K may have been more than they bargained for. | ![]() casual47

16/10/2020 15:39 | If you think I'm funny let my podcast persuade you I'm not! lols... Episode 3 hot off the press: | ![]() donald pond
16/10/2020 15:38 | Terri, You are quite right. If AAZ was a US listed stock i would have sold long ago. The problem is that it is an illiquid stock and I hold several hundred thousand shares from back in the 30s and 40s. I have trimmed a few on occasion but if I want to sell it has to be into strength. That is a problem with the UK markets and with investing in smaller caps. It means you have to either ignore the sector or play by different rules. I am happy to hold because I've met the board, understand the business and can see that sentiment won't matter in the long term: management and the asset in the ground will trump whatever sentiment is. Thanks for being a loyal listener of our podcast, episode 3 is fresh out this afternoon: | ![]() donald pond
16/10/2020 15:34 | The volume buying has just hit this hard so far this month every time it's been offered under $1.09 and this is bang on the that 38% re-trace level of the entire move from 3.5p to 174p. The longer that persist for, the stronger that 'line in the sand' will become and the more people will clock what's going on and come into buy at that level. Doesn't take much of that price action before buyers will start to pre-empt that price and start to buy in just before it gets down to that price & then a little bit higher etc. That's how support levels emerge and get defined & then new uptrends begin to emerge as positive news starts to filter out. | ![]() mattjos
16/10/2020 15:20 | I'm not going anywhere until we get into the range doc_oj … there's at least 6% yield at this level & growth in the pipeline + I very much believe Gold is going to go a helluva lot higher in the next 2 years | ![]() mattjos

16/10/2020 15:19 | 'Sense check. A few weeks ago the share price was 145' A serious sense check would be to ask why are you holding when the price has fallen from 170p to 100p in 2 months! I guess Stan Weinstein never used stops. I thought I could learn from you Mad Foetus/Donald Pond but - not for the first time, I suspect - you've left a girl disappointed. | miss terri guest
16/10/2020 15:16 | divi conversion calc on Monday (circa 129.5) & JORC shortly thereafter. We've got plenty in the old Heaps to keep the AL plant fed and every passing day brings us closer to the day that we'll learn the details for the Gilar & Avschancli resource size & detailed plans for mining them. The window in which very significant news will have to be released is getting ever smaller. The tide will dramatically turn here at some point in the next 5 moths, imo | ![]() mattjos
16/10/2020 15:12 | @mattjos: I sincerely hope you are right :) | ![]() doc_oj
16/10/2020 15:08 | This 107-110 level looks like it is going to be defended with a wall of buying. Terrific. Let's hope this now marks the end of this phase and the next long leg up to 350's starts from today | ![]() mattjos
16/10/2020 15:00 | #3Sporrons, a little more hoovering this morning around the lows look well timed (so far), all adds for the FY dividend pot and the possibility of a special too, but as #lefrene mentioned above I too am hoping for an outbreak of common sense and diplomacy over the weekend.. Interim dividend 4.5c Final dividend 5.5c...? Special dividend ...? | laurence llewelyn binliner
16/10/2020 14:52 | LOL it's blue now :-) brilliant,,, oh what a game chaps :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
16/10/2020 14:52 | m-f, of course not, except for the ugly inconvenience of a nasty war. Once the war is concluded, I'm expecting the company to make some welcome announcements. But in the meantime it's tin-hat and heads down time, including the share price I would like to see a sudden outbreak of commonsense on the part of the Armenian president over the weekend, and the Armenian PM get kicked into touch by Monday. | ![]() lefrene
16/10/2020 14:51 | now there speaks the voice of calm collected reason,,, many thanks KS :-) Cheers Wan :-) what I meant to say was pretty much any other company on AIM, other than AAZ,,, :-) | wanobi
16/10/2020 14:49 | Seems to be some very strong support here this week: | ![]() mattjos
16/10/2020 14:43 | Sense check. A few weeks ago the share price was 145, and most felt the news that would propel it to £2 was imminent. Has anything changed since then of lasting import? | ![]() mad foetus
16/10/2020 14:40 | Katsy, I feel it's some peoples perception that the mine could become a target, but not that Azerbaijan is in any danger of being over run by Armenia. It would be awful for all concerned if the mine were targeted, but the company certainly has the resources to repair any damage once the war is over. | ![]() lefrene
16/10/2020 14:38 | No you don't Wan, because 5p would value a company with over £25m in cash, no debt, and gold inventories at less than £6m market cap. The whole mine and plant would have to be blown up, along with the gold, bank deposits and zero insurance and the company somehow be liable to payout £20m of 'damages' to whoever sent the missile for that to make sense.. | ![]() king suarez
16/10/2020 14:32 | lol, probably going to finish Blue on the day | ![]() mattjos
16/10/2020 14:18 | indeed SI,,, if AAZ weren't such a brilliantly run business it would have already dropped to 5p me thinks,,, Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
16/10/2020 14:09 | Indeed - don't get me wrong, I mean fair value based on uncertainty ie sentiment.Underlying co. is excellentThis is the one that got away so to spk - I missed out when these were 5p a few years ago (my finger did hover above the buy button on a few occasions then) but have been in and out at much higher lvls since then... | ![]() scepticalinvestor
16/10/2020 14:08 | TSG Breaking out | ![]() mattjos
16/10/2020 14:02 | now that really would be an amazing opportunity to load up SI :-),,, not sure we'll get there though,,, but, never say never in this game :-) LOL Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi |
