I stand corrected s_murray but, hope you get my point. At first blush, it seems an oddity buying from the Israelis but, they do make the best battlefield drones.I can understand the Azeri mindset ... after 30 years of talking which has gone precisely nowhere, they've now had enough & with the rest of the world more focussed on Covid, recession, USA election etc etc ... now is probably best time ever to simply get the job done. Take back NK & then go to the negotiation table with Armenia.I can't see any other way from here.

The only way to seize the land is boots on the ground. If you think it will be quick to fight street by street, building by building you are quite mistaken.

You don't need sophisticated weapons to successfully wage urban guerrilla warfare.

Should be a lot of news out over the next few weeks for AAZ, CGNR, PXC, ORPH but I am sticking with BUR for the next two weeks at least. Go BUR go...

Good luck everyone

As best i can determine, the drones sourced by Azerbaijan were made by the Israelis ... Arabs buying weapons from Jews.Seems rather odd but, the Israelis are fantastic military weapon innovators. One of the best in the world. (Having worked with engineers at the likes of Rafael & IAI, i speak from experience eg. The Israeli Iron Dome system uses our machines to shuttle the ammo from underground bunkers to the launching site.)India purchases military systems from Israel and so too does Turkey & many other, seemingly sworn enemies of the Jews, nations.Israel is in many ways a USA funded military R&D outpost & their weapons are regularly tested / used in the Israeli batt;ES with its immediate neighbours. The point i am trying to make is, in some subtle not so obvious ways, the Azeris have gotten hold of some top-line military tech. That would have been ordered a while ago & therefore suggests to me that Azerbaijan is not acting in haste here .. this has been planned for a while & with such a significant military advantage as is being clearly demonstrated in those videos, they are going to ram that advantage home .. if they delay 6-12 months, there is risk Armenia will be able to level up the technology advantage. If I were Aliyev, I'd push on now - hard & fast and get it done. Maximise the military advantage while you so clearly have it. No one is going to stop him/them .. as in Europe, USA, Russia & the Chinese don't give a toss either way.

Ganja, Azerbaijan is about 80 miles from the mine operations in Gadebek which in turn is approximately 30 miles from the Armenian border...the question to ask is will operations continue to remain unaffected?

So much to choose from this week I feel for the competition.
Gold is moving up so is bit so is bitcoin so options there in the miners even EML might have a good week after a late spike on Friday.
BUR seems to be on a run as people buy in before it transfers to NASDAQ next week.
Pharma wise ORPH definitely looks to be rerating and news is imminent there according to CF.
So for me its BUR ORPH or maybe a miner. I am going for ORPH I am trusting CF and going for the news this week. Place your money on BUR is my suggestion :0)

We are going to the end. We didn't stop, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview to the Russian RBC TV channel, Trend reports.

“If the Armenian side is committed to the ceasefire regime, then, as I said yesterday, the phase of political settlement will begin and the phase of coercion to negotiations will end. Therefore, we will go to the end anyway.

Our goal remains unchanged. Restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, which is recognized by the entire world community, the return of Azerbaijanis to the places of their original traditional residence, including Shusha and other settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh, and, of course, to all other territories outside the administrative border of the former NKAO.

Therefore, our goal remains unchanged. The question is about how we will move towards this goal? We have always tried to follow the political path and have always heard that there is no military solution. We have proven that this is not the case. We showed on the battlefield that this is not the case and that these negotiations would have lasted another 30 years without a military component.

What would have happened before that? Illegal settlement. This is an international crime and a violation of the Geneva Convention. Unfortunately, no-one ever reacted to this – the Minsk Group, the European Union, or the UN. The destruction of Azerbaijan’s historical heritage, the destruction of our cultural, historical, and religious sites, the change of place names, the change of administrative boundaries of our regions, the change of the names of our mountains, rivers, and cities.

In other words, we would have had to wait another 30 years, and then we would have been told that this is what the situation is like now, so put up with it. We have already been told that. Therefore, I think that the military component, or its first stage, has come to an end, we have now reached a political settlement which will secure that we reach the end and get what is rightfully ours.

Therefore, I think that Azerbaijani society will perceive what happened yesterday and tonight correctly and continue to support our policy. Because we have always told our people the truth. We have always defended the interests of our people. What happened on the battlefield proved it to everyone again,” the head of state said.

Worth a read it seems to indicate modern weapons systems held by Azeris will win the war.

Drones, sensors and long-range weapons have given one side a clear edge in the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Other studies have provided hints that sulforaphane might also thwart a variety of other cancers, including cancer of the liver, bladder, breast and prostate.

Still, everywhere they’ve looked, they’ve found that sulforaphane enhances the cell’s ability to protect itself against disease.

Good job on your podcast Donald.

I have sold another position to buy more DDDD at 105p. I first bought in at 85p, so some traits of a hunter - buying more after this recent sell off, following the decent ibs news.

This time I will be top slicing on the way back up!!

The largest gains will be made running your winners long, long term, there is no harm in having a trading batch along the way!

What about the ‘democratic rights’ of the Azeris displaced in the corridors between N-K and the Armenian border? Armenia seems to think it has the right to the enclave and the territory between there and the border.

There is no way of splitting NK, Armenia need the lands they took from Azerbaijan between NK and Armenia to maintain an enclave so logistically the only way is for Azeris to get NK plus their stolen land back. I can only see that through war so any truce or talks are only temporary. Only way to stop it happening is a massive defeat for Azeris. Winter may slow things down. A corridor maybe possible through Azeri reclaimed land to NK but again dont see Azeris wanting to concede that unless there is no other option ie they are not winning the war.

Another missile attack upon Ganja happened overnight; several civilian fatalities [department store destroyed.]

Can't see the fragile ceasefire holding now.
The Azerzis will be keen to push on anyway; now they've been handed an 'excuse'
to do so.

Glad if I'm wrong.

historical boundaries and previous rights & wrongs put to one side,,,,, right now NK and the surrounding areas are internationally recognized as part of AZER...

Putin as much as said so himself when he said that the current hostilities were not occurring on Armenian soil,,,

It looks and feels to me like AZER want those territories back whether there's a ceasefire for further negotiations or not,,,,

and even in the negotiations, if there are any, to me, that will be AZER's starting position,,, will they then compromise some land to ARM to reach a peaceful resolution,,, I'm not so sure they will,,, will ARM compromise a lot more territory back to AZER for peace,,,, again, I'm not so sure they will....

but, strange things happen in such circumstances, so we shall have to wait and see,,,

Just listened to the podcast, which I found informative and interesting.
As 4D is topical, on the subject of averaging down, surely as with most things, timing is of the essence and would you countenance averaging down on the day of the news related fall or always wait until the dust settles?
And is your definition of averaging down only buying at a price below your entry price or average thereof ?

Sure, but as I pointed out in a past post, that denies the rights of the dispossessed from history.
Ultimately it has been another failure of diplomacy.
Nothing has changed for years and that has been unacceptable to such a degree to one party that they’re now taking land back by force.
Unless both parties realise that a joint solution will result in them BOTH having to sell a less than ideal solution to their respective populations then there will be no lasting solution.

Could be. Each side will have no end of "humanitarian war crimes" to blame the other side for, which is why I prefer to deal with what's in front of me, i.e. the democratic rights of the people actually living on the land.

You see it sounds just as ridiculous the other way round doesn’t it?

Armenia are not going to invade but we do have a few risks. Sanctions, a rougue ballistic, mon rogue ballistic. The mine would be put on care and maintenance until the situation is resolved. I'm not saying these will happen as I don't but anything possible even if the odds are extremely low. I'm keeping my head firmly above the sand with such a volatile situation.
