01/10/2020 17:47 | Gold in and around disputed territory cannot be exploited with risk of attacks. Remove military in disputed area and opens up additional areas to be exploited. | ![]() misterdeb
01/10/2020 17:08 | Thanks for your take Mattjos - that makes sense re: Russian Central Bank. Possibly why the mineral extraction tax was not extended to miners, whilst an obvious target given current high gold price? | ![]() king suarez
01/10/2020 17:03 | many thanx all, some great posts today, wishing you all a fine evening, cheers Wan :-) | wanobi

01/10/2020 16:45 | Cinoib, it's plainly a highly emotive situation, with land, religion and fear in the mix, plus the disputed land being occupied for so long, has long been acknowledged as belonging to Azerbaijan. But why choose now, when the Azeri's have been patient for so long? Nothing one can do of course, but hope that sense will prevail, although there's little enough of that to go round in the UK. | ![]() lefrene
01/10/2020 16:02 | not particularly KS .. I believe Putin/Russia very keen to get its Gold miners cranking the stuff out as fast as possible …. Russia Central Bank has first call on all domestic gold production. Yes, there is a seller but, the process is being managed particularly well. I expect demand to remain quite strong in the stock. I don't expect the majority shareholder to sell up too many more else, risk a POG type situation occurring. TSG management are particularly impressive … I do know of one of the directors as my wife is Russian and is acquainted with wife of one of the Directors. TSG board are a very highly regarded bunch in Russia | ![]() mattjos
01/10/2020 15:41 | They have to walk before they can run, and they have done exceptionally well thus far. I see AAZ more like a long term family business, thoroughly knowing their trade, steadily building up volume while keeping costs firmly under control. So far there's no fancy 'glory or bust' stuff going on, no clever 'financial engineering', just good solid progress doing what they best know how to do. Then just like a good soap opera, it's all coming together really nicely, and then the neighbours start causing trouble! | ![]() lefrene
01/10/2020 15:19 | Re. mid-tier status, when asked about that at the last in-person ProActive event, Bill wasn't overly ambitious talking of 100k oz being the next target. | goodgrief

01/10/2020 14:33 | Interesting one here. As we know Iran is becoming effectively a satellite state of China and now it appears China is already taking all its sanctioned oil supply but now is going to help increase that supply. This confirmation of the closeness of the two does help remove one possible oil price down driver going forward which was the relaxing of sanctions on Iran will now have no effect. All this together means we have effectively circa 4 mbpd (approx 4%) more oil on the market that is not being counted. Trump's tactics are certainly handing the Middle East slowly over to China and Russia, problem is he based his plans on America being self sufficient in oil which with the recent collapses in shale output may soon not be true and to make it true oil prices have to rise to encourage the high cost shalers (and importantly their bankers) to start drilling again. Will be interesting so see what sleepy Joe does when he gets in, more retreating to American borders or re engaging with the Middle East tribes, my money is on the former. hxxps://oilprice.com With the 25-year deal with China now moving ahead at pace, Iran has a buyer for all of the crude oil it can produce, albeit at discounted levels, so Tehran is pushing oil field development across the board. This includes not only the major fields in the huge West Karoun cluster – across which China has pledged to increase collective output by at least 500,000 barrels per day (bpd) within the next two years | ![]() pogue
01/10/2020 13:49 | Thanks chaps. | ![]() fozzie
01/10/2020 13:45 | Fozzie seem to recall in the distant past that ADVFN had overseas boards(unsure to be honest). Tend to stick to the global gold and silver sites but the main one for Canada is Stockhouse, albeit I stopped posting when I sold out of a few oilers. Weird bunch those Canucks but they know their resource plays. In Oz the main one for me is Hot Copper. | ![]() riggerbeautz
01/10/2020 13:32 | Mattjos - with TSG do you have any concerns re: Russia's recent increased mineral extraction tax? Am aware it doesn't currently apply to gold mining companies - but possibly in future? | ![]() king suarez
01/10/2020 13:02 | fozzie Don't know of you have come across this before. It's not up to date but gives a good over view of the silver players if you are prepared to use it as a basis for research: | ![]() beaujolly
01/10/2020 12:26 | I'm all up for getting a bigger area however we already have plenty to explore and bring into production! I want to know how we are going to achieve mid tier status rather than bouncing around 80k geo every year. | ![]() bazboa
01/10/2020 12:20 | Just the large shareholder constantly dripping out shares there though Matt, though i agree that it is a very well run company. Thanks for the replies on Silvers. I looked at PXC when it was 17p and my obdurate personality is kicking in now lol It looks like it will cost me but there are plenty of fish in the sea. Are there any bulletin boards like this for Canadian mining stocks that you use Rb? edit - Also if a company is based in Canada but has shares listed on Canadian and US exchanges, which one would you buy CAD or USD? | ![]() fozzie
01/10/2020 12:15 | Yes indeedy Goldrush If a large porphyry zone is indeed revealed in Gedabek CA, then as you posted earlier, both it and a much enlarged CA will prove "transformational". :0))) Even better to extent it rises to near surface, North of CA [Avshancli, Gilar etc] and further N. into extended CA [Zehmet....etc - etc after follow on airborne survey and ground exploration]. | ![]() 2sporrans
01/10/2020 12:15 | Don't forget that Farhang Hedjazi (VP, Technical Services) who "oversees all mining and exploration activities" is Turkish & this likely explain why some of these finds have a Turkish name | ![]() mattjos
01/10/2020 12:11 | its all slowly building up here to suggest something major is going to get announced on the exploration front, afaiac. In Turkish language, 'Zafer' is 'Victory' I don't believe that is a 'random' naming! Further North from Zafer, once again close to the Ugur Haul Road & before you get to Ugur, there is the discovery called 'Yagublu' .. in Turkish this translates to 'Fatty' So, let's hope we have found new Fat & Victorius discoveries, both very lose to the exiting infrastructure | ![]() mattjos
01/10/2020 12:05 | 2sp Re Gosha.....That's what I was thinking, hey. that is new....😀 Gosha looks encouraging and ties into why we want to extend the Gosha to Gedabek Contract Areas....IMHO | ![]() goldrush
01/10/2020 12:00 | Those new Gosha drill samples Bleepy posted, from the latest presentation were not included in the H1 exploration update; i just checked, being unsure if previously reported. There was a series of drill core samples reported in the H1 report; the 20GODDU series from 20GODDU01 to 09. However a few more have emerged: 20GODDU010 to 13 it seems. And 2 more good ones, as listed in slide 13 . 56.58g/t [over 0.3m] isn't an AAZ record; not if those bonanza grades out of Ordubad get fully verified. Keleki and Dirnis gold grades [within drill cores], 3 of over 200g/t, as i recall and others >100g/t. | ![]() 2sporrans
01/10/2020 11:59 | have been adding to TSG. Should be a cracking Q3 update in next couple of weeks time and the divi is also terrific | ![]() mattjos
01/10/2020 11:40 | Fozzie as I have pointed out to Wan a few times, IPT! Really if you are in DSV it’s the same type of silver play on speed when silver motors. Also Silver Mines Limited ASX.SVL in Oz, with Aftermath V.AAG and Defiance V.DEF on my watchlist. | ![]() riggerbeautz
01/10/2020 11:29 | Thanks bleepy, I had missed the grades at Gosha. I wonder if 56.58g/t is a record for AAZ | ![]() return_of_the_apeman |
