Guess there’s going to be another buying opportunity, so maybe let’s see if it breaks a £1 then shall we? Of course anyone that invested would surely have looked back on those exact comments Wan, as you say it usually rears it’s head, with posturing; but it suits some people to bring it up as undoubtedly affects sentiment to those that pay lip service.
None of which would be a problem unless someone has too much at stake or is leveraged I.m.o

not so much a black swan jeanesy as it's always been there,,, well, for the last 30 years I believe, anyhow... as investors, all we can do is take a view and invest or divest accordingly,,,, fingers crossed it'll stop soon, cheers Wan :-)

That is not good to hear. From a selfish point of view it is going to stop potential investors getting involved here until it is resolved. This could get much much cheaper imo especially if the situation escalates further. This maybe another black swan event WAN . This has really been a horrible year on all sorts of fronts !

wan, for you and those that think Avacta has gone quiet, here is the link to yesterday's presentation, well worth a listen and explains the potential and reason for delays https://presentations.investormeetcompany.com/investor-meet-company/interim-results-for-the-6-months-ended-30-june-2020-2?bmid=be99f7fce6b6

Awful situation and who knows how it will develop from here!!!

As I'm sure we all do, I hope it comes to an end as soon as possible!!!

It's a sad indictment of mankind's nature and it's always the innocent and poorest who suffer the most and I do not like it at all....

Cheers
Wan

Jeanesy.
This one has been building since the skirmish in July. A few factors I think. The Armenians planned to move the Karabach parliament to Shusha what is a special place in the eyes of Azerbaijan. I think that is what broke the camel's back. In July about 30,000 took to the streets in Baku in support of war also.
Always when these skirmishes break out the international community calls on ceasefire. Azerbaijan backs down and are back at square one. No one pressures Armenian to leave the occupied lands. I think Azerbaijan has had enough.
Over the years azerbaijan has spent billions on there military and far stronger than Armenia. So that's why I think this time it is different. Azerbaijan will not stop until they get back the occupied lands.
Also the president may be looking at Belarus and see the pressure Lushashenko is in. If the president delivers Karabach back to Azerbaijan he will be a hero in the eyes of the Azerbaijan people forever. Big support in Baku for the war. Azerbaijan flags hanging out of buildings, cars everywhere. So it will not be easy for Azerbaijan to stop now I think.
The American Embassy stated on Friday not to go out to the district so they knew it was going to happen. Our neighbour told the wife they were looking at recruiting under 35s last week. So I don't think it was something suddenly happened on Sunday. It was expected. Also bTurkey and Azerbaijan held military exercises in August.
It should not affect AAZ in the long-term. I think just the uncertainty is what the market does not like. And I see Turkey stepping in if Armenia was to try and take more land.
So that's why I think it is different this time and hope it end as soon as possible..but it could be a long winter.

Presumably the Azeri's have not gone into this conflict without a plan? I suspect that the border sniping of the past few months has prompted them to go for a 'solution', the pretext being to return property to those Azeri's who were displaced 30 years ago. No doubt the Armenians fear ethnic cleansing, plus Turkey is an ancient enemy, and the Russians seem not to want to get involved, thus it looks like a lose lose situation for them. Hopefully the international community will get both countries to see sense and come to a deal, before somebody decides to go for a scorched earth policy as a solution.

In the meantime the company is well away from the conflict area, and will carry on it's very efficient and profitable mining. Perhaps the price will fall further, making it an even bigger bargain, so long as you don't believe the whole country is going to be consumed in a war.

Re AVCT, the CEO did a one hour presentation just yesterday spelling out everything, hardly a lack of news, just a little more patience is required for the share price to soar
