Hard to believe with gold at this level 120p looks like it may well be tested again.

Would it be cheeky of me to expect to pick something up close to 120p on these. Q4 seems a long way away, gold price having a breather and very little support at this level.

It's about Azergold:

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 8

By Fidan Babayeva - Trend:

Azerbaijani mining company, AzerGold CJSC, extracted 39,312 ounces of a major exporting product – gold, from January through August 2020, which is 14 percent more compared to the initially forecasted volume, Head of AzerGold’s Public Relations Department Leyla Sadikhova told Trend.

Sadikhova noted that mining figures were increased thanks to optimization work in production and the introduction of new technological methodologies.

“Over the first eight months of this year, gold has firmly established its position in the top three export products of the country's non-oil sector. The increase in production volumes of AzerGold and the rise in gold prices on world exchanges also contributed to an increase in the volume of currency attracted to the country's economy as a result of export operations,” said Sadikhova.

AzerGold’s representative also said that $68.5 million were gained through the precious metal exports over the reporting period.

Thus, the revenues from the sale of gold and silver for the specifying period increased by 32 percent or $16 million over the year.

The volume of gold mined in 2019 increased by 21.3 percent compared to 2018, while silver - by 33.2 percent.

Despite the fact that the company forecast to produce 50,000 ounces of gold in 2019, it produced 10.4 percent more, that is, 55,200 ounces.

Likewise, 87,400 ounces of silver were predicted to produce during 2019, while the actual volume exceeded the forecast by 17.9 percent, reaching 103,000 ounces.

Production figures for 2019 are the record-breaking for the entire period of the Chovdar mining and processing complex.

Last year, AzerGold transferred about 13.5 million manat ($7.9 million) to the state budget.

(1 USD = 1.7 manat on Sept. 8)

I rarely post on here. I first bought shares in AAZ when they were 16p. I think Rezza has done a brilliant job in running the company and the hire of Stephen Whitehead (geologist) has been instrumental to AAZ's fortunes. I now own shares in AAZ and in CGNR. I like the idea of the proposed joint venture - Irish gold and AAZ's financial muscle and mine development expertise. My investment in CGNR is twice as big, by value, as my investment in AAZ. Hopefully, Irish eyes will be smiling if it all goes according to plan. Fingers crossed.

Oil price is slipping as demand is not recovering as the bulls kept saying it would, V shaped recovery was always a fantasy. I have been saying for months oil will remain over supplied as industry is going into a recession and oil demand falls during a recession add in we were oversupplied going into the oil price war then CV19 to start with so oil will remain weak at least until next year, that’s as far as I can see as there are so many variables. Oilprice.com seems to have shaken off its usual bullish stance…

The International Energy Agency (IEA) joined the chorus of analysts saying that the pace of global oil demand recovery has stalled in recent weeks on the back of weak refining margins, a lack of recovery in jet fuel demand, and uncertainties over global economic growth, including in the world’s top oil importer, China.

Natural gas has had a boost since Warren Buffet made some investments in the sector. Not sure why WTI is going down but it was due a correction.

Not sure I quite understand the question about taxation on BTC (without buying BTC)?

As a generic answer you can gain indirect exposure to BTC, or other crypto currencies, by investing in listed companies/funds that invest in crypto, or crypto mining businesses - and hold these shares in your ISA to avoid corp tax? ARB is one crypto mining business listed on the LSE for example..

At some point in the near future I believe there will be crypto ETF funds that will allow you to benefit from the price fluctuations without directly holding the asset also - but these are not available just yet AFAIK.

I do not want dilution of our shareholding. However, I think we should have say 4 shares at 37.5p for every 1 share at 150p. It would be much more align for AIM market and create more trading and value.
