18/8/2020 13:03 | Someuwin, seems to be all about their new CEO from what I read of Cheryl Calverley, she seems to be driving this revival. | riggerbeautz

18/8/2020 12:55 | Thanks for the advice. I doubt they would know alot | maxplus2
18/8/2020 12:52 | This make sense. So in the AA forum, why is the talk of bid at 45, 50p and £1 etc | maxplus2
18/8/2020 12:50 | Many thanks. | maxplus2
18/8/2020 12:47 | Wanobi, thank you, that's much appreciated. It's just bounced at your 12p. Hmmm, what to do. Sit it out I guess and hope the selling stops! | teataster
18/8/2020 12:36 | Correct ... if u have completed the W8-Ben form with your broker then any dividends will be taxed at 15%.There is zero capital gains tax for any shares traded within an ISA | onedayrodders
18/8/2020 12:32 | Cinoib, I don't believe there is anything wrong with it as a company at all, and the management is in a class of it's own when it comes to competence and integrity. The reasons for lack of market appreciation have been gone over many times, lack of liquidity, low market cap, are probably the main culprits, plus lack of clarity over gov of Azerbaijan's future intentions are a bit of a cloud. | lefrene
18/8/2020 12:32 | maxplus2 - no, you're confusing enterprise value and market cap. Current market cap of AA is around £250m AND the enterprise value is currently closer to £4bn. BOTH at the share price of 39p. An offer around 39p values the total enterprise value of AA (including net debt) at c£4bn and the equity portion of that enterprise value at around £250m. It means a valuer thinks the business in it's entirety is worth around £4bn, but they are only willing to pay £250m for it, because it will cost them £4bn including the debt liability to purchase. Make sense now? | king suarez
18/8/2020 12:31 | mp2 - i think you need to get yourself a financial advisor. | bumpa33
18/8/2020 12:30 | TA'wise, quick look at the charts says it needs to bounce of 12p or there's a risk it drops back to 8p,,,, but, I know nothing on the FA side of the game for GGP, Cheers Wan :-) free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | wanobi
18/8/2020 12:29 | HelloThank you for clarification. Is 15% for tax when dividends are being paid? What about the capital gain when you sell?thank you | maxplus2
18/8/2020 12:27 | Using the figures I calculated the enterprise value for AA as £5.79 and currently tading just below 40p. Is the Enterprise value as the takeover price? | maxplus2
18/8/2020 12:19 | Avid reader here, sorry not much to contribute, but wondered what views are about GGP. I went in at 14p, but it's been a continual slide in the wrong direction. Should I be concerned? (luckily don't need the funds in the near future.) TIA | teataster
18/8/2020 12:05 | WHT is on dividends only and by completing the W8 Ben form in advance will ensure you only ever pay 15% at source and not pay 30% and then claim back.Apart from that, buying US Stocks in an ISA enjoys their same tax free wrapper benefits as U.K. Shares. Here is a bit more detail ...I hTTps://monevator.co | onedayrodders
18/8/2020 12:02 | when majors are moving 11% in a day AAZ's time will come. | bonio10000
18/8/2020 12:00 | Late response on US shares and ISA's... my own view is apart from filling out a W8 Ben form with your broker, which allows you to trade US shares, once a share is eligible and bought inside an ISA, it's ring fenced from all capital gains tax etc.The W8 Ben form reduces your WHT from 30 to 15% ...Holding overseas shares exposes you to tax complications, even in an ISA. We've written the definitive article on withholding tax, so go check it out. The key takeaway is usually you can avoid being taxed twice if you find and fill in the correct form. For instance, the W-8BEN form allows UK investors to pay a lower rate of US tax (15% instead of 30%) on dividend income from US shares. | onedayrodders
18/8/2020 11:44 | Ok chaps makes sense now that u r mostly in from a much cheaper price. Movements up will be that much more significant than newer investors. | onedayrodders

18/8/2020 11:24 | Enterprise value = roughly £3.55 billion - the value in the equity plus the net debt. So a bidder will ascribe a value to the equity - whatever that may be - with obvious regard to the fact they’re also taking on the net debt! | bumpa33
18/8/2020 11:19 | What doesn't make sense? | king suarez
18/8/2020 11:14 | Nothing to see here's. Gold 2000+. Move along :-) | mattjos |
