A question on holding US stocks by UK investors. If they are held in the ISA account, does the UK based investor have to pay US withholding tax on any gain when sold.

ODR, Velocy (VLS)has taken off again, as I don't invest in many small caps perhaps I should have taken a punt there.
Like Wan says you can't buy them all.
I have done very well with PUR though.

i agree, mf. 92 is the line in the sand. Breach that and the $ will really get caned. Presumably Gold will react inversly

Yes Wan .. think they are clearing out some profit takers from Eric Sprotts latest investment which boosted the share price considerably.SP rose considerably off the back of that in the last funding round.I won't win this week's competition but not concerned with the prospects there. A billion ounces of silver is where I want to be

SYME share price may be going well but, fgsake, who the hell is going to buy in to what they propose???? It's like factoring / Invoice Discounting before you've even raised an invoice! Just another form of Debt, as far i can see.
Buy the shares if you want but, avoid the product, imo.

I might have to review my interpretation of the US$ Basket … it made an effort to bounce but, that was very short-lived.
If it falls through 9240 then, a pretty quick drop to 9000 looks likely, in which case Gold could quickly push on back over $2,000 and on to new highs.

AAZ really should now be pushing past £1.75 & past £2.00, imo.
Gold is now up 30% !! since AAZ first hit £1.75
The market just cannot keep ignoring this

I can honestly say that I have never had Buffett bid on one of my stocks. It would be a huge irony if it was a miner and even more so a gold producer.

I think exposure to Basic Materials is an obvious call right now given global monetary policy - Gold more so than most. Mining stocks have definitely led my portfolio today.

Rises today in gold, sliver and copper prices so unsurprisingly AAZ continuing its bullish chart.

Pretty extraordinary times ... $50+ moves in gold in one day & 3%+ in Silver.Efforts to smash down PM's, even in a thin summer market, Are just not working as they have done so for years and years before now.
