09/2/2018 09:49 | One certain commodity affects inflation more than any other... oil Low oil prices give lower inflation and as such lower interest rates. If I was a conspiracy believer, certain large economies/institutio How much oil do the U.S export.?? Always in the news about how much is exported, this is Lighter oil How much oil do the U.S import.?? When was the last time this was in the headlines.?? U.S storage is always in the news. Even when the storage was nearly full the U.S still imported 5m barrels of oil why.?? The U.S want a low oil price, gas guzzling cars/Suv’s/Tru It also puts financial pressures on other countries “Russia” “VenezuelaR Now where’s Elvis.? | ![]() rich2006
09/2/2018 08:43 | So how much did Amerisur share price gain when these other shares were inflated by QE way above sensible P/E valuations. In my opinion its all good news for Amer. Higher interest rates in particular. With netbacks one of the best in the industry and no debt. So I'm none too worried and will pick up as I divest some of the other assets. Do you realise how perilous the debt situation is for U.S. shale operators including big players. Many will be forced to exit shale and many will have to bolster reserves from acquisition | ![]() foiledagain
09/2/2018 08:24 | of course there is worry what the dow/ ftse does! knock on effect showing everywhere. dow off another 1000+ points, oil getting smashed back too. | ![]() pembury
09/2/2018 08:07 | No worries at all whatever the dow or fTSE does. In the main this correction was caused by interest rates. Prospect of higher interest rates whereby P/E on some shares is way overdone. Prices of such stock were pushed higher by ZIRP and NIRP, so now with prospect of higher and in my opinion more realistic interest rates. For Amerisur no such problem exists, it has no borrowings, it is cash generative and its not been a share that has been buoyed up by the QE exercises. Higher interest rates will kill off shale and the economic indicators show growth. With purported US10,000,000bbls a day, at last half being non viable shale, that amount of oil out of the system means more profit for Amer | ![]() foiledagain

08/2/2018 15:19 | If this stock were the bubbles in a champagne glass it would be considered flat at the moment, you might send it back to the head waiter-or even leave the party early! Certainly not a Gem, but perhaps we can afford to be patient, ahead of a 16 well high COS drilling campaign, and current environment where the company receives $50 a barrel Netbacks on Oil WTI $65. | ![]() utsushi
