05/6/2017 16:08 | Thanks ML Todays sad news has reaffirmed that health is far more valuable than wealth. | eddie_yates
05/6/2017 15:17 | Just read the terrible news, I never met Brian "val" in person, however we had many years of banter and chat both on here and over on the GOO board. He seemed a thoroughly good guy and always came across as very knowledgeable and articulate. He'll be sorely missed. | ladeside
05/6/2017 14:18 | Stunning and sad news, his posts will be missed RIP Brian/ Valentine. | oilandgas1
05/6/2017 12:57 | Uninspired is an understatement bwd if you don't mind me saying. Too numbed to focus but I did buy a few more this morning just to honour him and sure in the knowledge he'd have wanted some too at 24.4975 and would also have noted that the market has stock as they undercut the board by a whopping .0025p to fill my order rather than see those on offer taken. God speed Val | the dark horse
05/6/2017 12:20 | It won't be anything to write home about, Lucy. The "minimum" 5k bopd remains an elusive, rarely achieved ambition. I wish Val were here. He'd have something pithy to say. I feel uninspired now. | bigwavedave
05/6/2017 10:56 | I see the monthly update has yet to appear | lucyp00p
05/6/2017 10:41 | If its any consideration, I was looking back over quite a number of shares that I'd been in along with Val/Brian over the years. Either like TAD they crashed and burned us or they waited until we'd upped stakes and moved on before skyrocketing. Maybe now that he's gone on ahead, we might collect at last....although like the weather forecast for this week, the Ichimoku shows some turbulence. Q. | quidnunc
05/6/2017 10:38 | I knew val from the RACE bb for some years. A great gee-gee man. The news is certainly a great shock. RIP. | devil20
05/6/2017 10:29 | I only met Brian once about 8 years ago, a great character. He will be missed. RIP | the reverend david
05/6/2017 10:21 | Sad news. Until we meet on the broad highway.. | francis55
05/6/2017 10:10 | Numbing news. I have nothing to add to all that has been said above about Brian. He earned his peace and leaves behind a void in many lives. Farewell, my Friend. | tonyrelaxes
05/6/2017 09:18 | As a fairly recent Amer holder, I had followed this BB for a while before joining it. Valentine's posts were always an enjoyable highlight. They appeared to me to be written by a very knowledgeable, pragmatic yet gently philosophical and whimsical man. A great shock. RIP Valentine. | davwall
05/6/2017 09:08 | Such a shock and a terrible shame that Brian hasn't managed to benefit reap the rewards for all of his hard work researching Amer for all these years. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but he often shared things privately "too sensitive" to post on Here!! RIP | eddie_yates
05/6/2017 09:02 | RIP Val, I never knew him personally, but as others have already said he was a mainstay here and I always read his posts with interest. He'll certainly be sadly missed and I can but offer my condolences to family and friends who knew him in real life. | al101uk
05/6/2017 08:30 | I just hope someone in Vals family benefits from a rising share price in AMER it would be a fitting tribute and legacy. | doughboy66
05/6/2017 08:29 | Rip Val, very much a part of the Amer furniture for me for the past decade plus 😥 | 9barracuda
05/6/2017 08:29 | Very sad, Bye Val RIP | royfd
05/6/2017 08:23 | Will very much miss Val`s posts. He certainly kept my spirits up when things were looking a bit dire with Amer. Rest in peace Val. Thank you | alfieduncan
05/6/2017 08:11 | This board won't be the same without Valentine and I cant add much to the many fitting tributes paid already apart from RIP mate. | doughboy66
05/6/2017 08:08 | A real "character" who will be very much missed even by those of us who only knew him through his postings here. Condolences to those of you who were real life friends. A shock to those left behind, but at least you have the comfort of knowing that he was spared the misery of some long drawn out and miserably debilitating illness. | charlieeee |
