Big
What they don't make cleAr is it's not just new supply they need.

They need about 7,000,000bbls a day more each year to make up for depletion and decline rates and that increases as well become morem mature and shale declines are massive at up to 65pc after just 12 months

So add that to the figures and there is no way oil production will meet demand in very near future

Eurasia Group forecasts about 7 million barrels per day (MMbbl/d) of new crude supply by 2022. This includes about 5 MMbbl/d of U.S. shale growth and about 2 MMbbl/d from oil sands and deepwater extraction. But by the year 2022, another 15 MMbbl/d of new supply may be needed, as demand trends predict an annual growth rate of about 1 MMbbl/d. With this kind of impending discrepancy between supply and demand, the industry needs to start looking for new sources of oil, and quickly.

Despite the recent dip in oil prices, industry experts have been predicting a supply-gap and rising oil prices for years. This is due in large part to an oil investment drought marked by two year of consecutive decline, a statistic that has no precedent in the oil industry. This year a report by the International Energy Agency concluded that if oil investment remains stagnant over the next few years, by 2020 we will see a significant increase in the price of oil as global demand continues to climb.

Oil on the way up again now.

It's in everyone's interest to limit production, maybe The US will be included in next meet in Nov along with Russia, India.

Interesting article:

Beginning to doubt if this share will ever come good.

Francis I know you lost money here but why don't you stick to your Hur thread, you know the current inv you are losing money on, the co that produces squat and directors r milking you, and where share price still falls on the poo even though production is years away if at all, haha
Or go fly your model copter that's a good lad, you'd die in the real thing you need intelligence to fly one of those

Bank your profits every 10% then wait for it to drop and do it all over again.

I imagine it's a reaction to a reasonable rise, bit of profit taking. Volume nothing to get excited about.

Back into the clouds, oil price related no doubt.

This share has always suffered from a lack of liquidity - hence the exaggerated movements on relatively small volumes. Today was a case in point: no rationale for an 8.5% drop and no doubt it will be reversed next week.

Usual garbage from f55, which is best ignored.

stockmarkets and particularly ind stocks don't always make sense. Worst performing Oil today yet they should be less reliant on poo than most small oil cos. Guess it's cos they are generating good revenues and a lower poo reduces profits in a geared fashion.
Anyway to me it's irrelevant what today's share price is, i am confident for the future of Amer and fully expect it to be many times the price in a few yrs which is my normal time horizon with ind shares.

-8.41% on the day... pretty much the worst share performance that I hold or watch.

RTD: yes you can't do anything about the poo, but I'm quite confident it will be rising over the next year. No panic.
