Shocking news - and far too soon. Unfairly treated by the powers that be over AMER when he was set up. I never always understood his posts - but a great character and a brilliant analyst and researcher. The world will be a poorer place without him. RIP Brian

Read Val's posts with great interest, he certainly was one of a kind in giving a different angle of thought. Would liked to have met you. R I P.

Very sad news about Brian. So helpful and always witty. Shared a lot with him over the 16+ years we have both been investors in Amerisur. Such a shame that he will not be around to see the prospect properly materialise.

Very sad news.

I enjoyed Val's posts. They were never, ever ignored.

Rest in Peace.

Goodbye val.

You were far too erudite for this place, and for me in particular, but I read every word and enjoyed your often obscure take on life and investment. Perhaps a bit too much in love with this share, latterly, less so, like most of the rest of us - in some ways our spiritual leader.

You will be missed.

Martin

Terrible news about Brian, first met him at the 2006 AGM over a few pints. He was a good bloke. I didn't always understand all of his cryptic musings, but he really knew his stuff about Amer and was happy to share the information he had found.RIP Brian.

From his Fbook account.

"Hi. In fact Brian was saying at my house in Brighton when he died. I found him on Friday afternoon. We think it was a heart attack but there will be a post mortem when presumably we will know more. If you want to DM me I can pass on my mobile number if you want to know more."

I am so sad to hear this. What a character he was. A walking dictionary and encyclopedia combined. Full of humour and wit. Determined and stubborn too. I was looking forward to catching up with him again on his return to the UK. He was always helpful and friendly - even during the tough times, and he had his share of those. What a shame.

Haven't got a clue who your reply is to in 1898, or what you are referring to, or what your point is?

The description posted is as far as I know the correct one, but its not uncommon for analysts to get the definitions mixed up?

Analysts are quite often kids out of uni, I do not base my inv decisions on any broker reports.

Lucy. Its always amazed me as to how many paid oil 'experts' and 'anal ysts' get risked and unrisked definitions completely wrong often ascribing the definition of unrisked to risked and vice versa.
