30/5/2017 15:36 | Dont forget the 120ft of sands are the "cleanest" JW has ever seen, but this field needs to be explored further to enhance the model forcast. Max production now will damage the well. This will not be lost on any preditor looking over Amers shoulder. | moneylender
30/5/2017 15:04 | Wait and see what the ongc videsh rns I reckon BWD | 9barracuda
30/5/2017 14:41 | A feeble response from the share price. I would've expected 10% min. What to do, eh? | ![]() bigwavedave

30/5/2017 12:12 | Tools apart... and to help my understanding, is it a straightforward case that the deeper they perforate the well, the greater the pressure and production volume? Not to mention a bigger yeeha!! | davwall
30/5/2017 12:05 | Who is this clever investor who "tooled" you Trots? I think we should be told 😂 | 9barracuda
30/5/2017 12:01 | ONGC have been too busy having high level meetings with the Chinese in Beijing a week before they announced the preliminary result of Mariposa-1 Mr. Sudhir Sharma, Director Exploration – ONGC Videsh Limited visited Beijing as part of the MECL Board Meeting and it demonstrates how close ONGC is with China, with many joint ventures. Both countries looking to safeguard future supplies. Reporting rules are different to the UK, and as the result today is preliminary production from just a small section, as they've already announced it was an exciting discovery they may just wait until further discussions/data. "An interval of 12 feet at the top of the 120 feet of net pay logged in the L3 sandstone was perforated in order to perform a short-term test with a drill-stem-test temporary string." So its by no means a final production figure, which looks quite an understatement if more of the pay zone can be brought into the equation. Expect ONGC to make an announcement within 24 hours but they already notified the market about their exciting discovery. | ![]() foiledagain
30/5/2017 11:54 | A very clever invested tools me ,, if cpo comes in big it would make sense for videsh to buy us up at multiples of current share price ,, well it came in big and the market has yet to do the sums | ![]() trotting12
30/5/2017 11:47 | So ONGC PIs get nothing from their BoD but can learn about their company from other sources. Hmm ... seems familiar! ;-) | ![]() tonyrelaxes
30/5/2017 11:40 | I think its a new policy to get news out when ever it arises to keep investors informed on the very latest events as they happen. There is a lot more to come here | ![]() tom111
30/5/2017 11:36 | davwall - yes, I also expected something from ONGC first. And the AMER RNS is surprisingly short considering it is the biggest result in its history, albeit in a partnership. I see that GSA Capital Partners have had a 0.6% short position in AMER since April - surely this is costing them a fortune? blackdown - there has been none to date. | ![]() bigwavedave
30/5/2017 11:09 | SDX has not been diluted it has plenty of cash and revenue, some peeps do spout utter rubbish | ![]() tom111
30/5/2017 09:58 | Oddly, the news hasn't been published by the lead partner. Neither ONGC Videsh nor its parent have yet updated the Indian exchange stock from their 4th May announcement. Unless there's a mole within AMER, it's difficult in this instance to see how some might get advance notice. Even AMER would only be told what ONGC chose to tell them on a day-to-day basis. | davwall

30/5/2017 09:06 | This share should be Pushing 40p it's being kept low and manipulated. I think us PI are eventually going to get a shock when some party mounts a takeover or buyout for a measly amount. | ![]() dayway123
30/5/2017 09:01 | "I can't help wonder if today's news was known". The share price consistently drops just before good news is released to the market: exactly the same happened re the OBA announcement. It is superb news and it seems that once again, the market does not understand, but then, should it be expected to know the technicalities or should these be spelled out more clearly? | ![]() charlieeee
30/5/2017 08:49 | and the share price is lower than Thursday night figure that out | ![]() tom111

30/5/2017 08:44 | I thought those that went to the AGM were saying that Rex had stopped selling? Certainly I can't imagine why anyone would want to sell here now, knowing what we know. This company has no debt, exciting assets, produces oil at a very low cost and has a very active fully funded drilling campaign. I mean - what more do you want? | ![]() adam
30/5/2017 08:43 | Lots of positives at the moment, but not much info re the progress (if any) in dealing with the flow rate through the OBA. | ![]() blackdown2
30/5/2017 08:38 | Every now and again this type of thing happens in the market and can cause a massive drop in the share price for no apparent reason, but in Amerisur's situation aided by a holder with a lot of shares disposing and apparently not being assisted or not wanting to dispose in a mutually beneficial transaction between the holder and the company. It is foolish to believe no one else knows about such a situation, including brokers, family and friends and others, who can make a lot of money either short selling, or just selling into a situation where its known that there are far more shares to enter the market than can be absorbed, however cheap the shares are. In situations like that, if there are no skeletons in the cupboard its like having a yellow label buy one get one free, but its seldom seen as that or reported like it, as some may still be clinging on to leveraged deals and some want to close their positions safely. I can't help wonder if today's news was known and the drop in the share price in advance helped keep the share price in range. But it does give the opinion of a share price artificially managed and where it has several effects on the shareholders. Some fearing and seeing the price dropping, will sell into it adding to the weight of sales. Others hold either with a firm conviction it will come good, or feeling as if they have no alternative. Others might see an opportunity of buying one getting one free, or possibly two or three shares free depending on the company. | ![]() foiledagain
