I suppose the board could tell the market what the strategic issues are and give an indication of the options available to overcome them , subject to confidentiality issues. This would give a clearer view which hopefully improves market sentiment.

With ii I could sell 5k for 42p and buy 25k at 42.3p

One is lucky to be able to sell at 43p,
the bid price for more than a few is 39p
There are positives though with the stock going forward,
like maybe a 32% dividend over the next 2 years.
The big question is "what is the real/true asset value"
We have seen share price drifts before, and then it has recovered
hopefully the same will occur this time around.

It's pretty poor that the Factsheet is not on the website as they state in the RNS.

I was hoping to see more of their strategic options presented. Instead they just tell us in the RNS extract that
they are considering the options going forward, whatever they are - unless these are stated in the longer Factsheet!

"I am aware that many shareholders are looking to the Board to give a clear indication of strategic direction and a plan to maximise shareholder value as the Company enters its ninth year of trading. The Board is very conscious that our income stream is finite and that there is no liquid market for our assets. There are a number of strategic issues that will need to be addressed but the Board's primary focus remains to find the best way to unlock the value which we see within the Company."

"maybe better to sell the day before it does go ex-dividend ?"

Yes, a lot of shares go down more than the Div, and you can make a few extra shares that way.
But you wouldn't have made anything worthwhile in AA4 because of the large spread.

eeza - looks like we are stuffed for the time being.
and have to wait for the tide to turn,
all to do with bad timing and not taking advantage of the peaks and throughs.
Must admit the you did warn of the fall after going ex-dividend,
but I did not count on it being more than the dividend unfortunately,
maybe better to sell the day before it does go ex-dividend ?

MM's don't want to take stock onto their books, so will want to match the trade with a buyer. So they will have found someone to take the other side of the 43k sell @ 43.0p, but they will only bid 39.0p if it has to go on their books.

There are still plenty of sellers but not enough buyers. So prices have to drop - or stalemate.

eeza - maybe the market makers are trying to stop sells as
the selling price for over 105 shares is 39p.
One trade of 43k shares did sell at 43p though.

A lot of funds suffering redemptions, so are having to sell whatever they can at whatever price they can get.

However, DNA3 still going up.

Presumably if they sold they would only get 39p.

But at 43.5p the dividend to come could be now 16%,
which should be solid for at least the next 2 years.

Market makers are offering at 13.15pm -
if you sell up to 105 shares you can get 43p,
if you sell any more the bid price is only 39p,
which is definitely going to curtail selling at present,
as per my recent test of price.
One can buy at 43.75p.

The bid price falling to 43.0p may stop the current selling. That's the test price I got back just now.

A380s are in high demand and easily sold if you don't want to lease them. I can't see any issues there, only ever increasing positives as the Doric sales have shown.

The company is reliant on the 380's as those leases expire well before the Thai ones and if they are not extended then the company may not have enough funding to continue. It is likely that 4 of the leases may be extended owing to the date they were built leaving 2 that won't.
The B777's should be extended.

fram7 - I agree with what you have posted.
I flew on a A380 from Heathrow to Hong Kong with Cathy Pacific, the best plane I have ever been on - 4 engines, smooth as a die, I love them.
The bid price as at 11.55 is currently 43.1p and offer price 44.75p according to a buy sell test I have done.
I have learnt that timing on buying and selling is some times more important than what one buys and sells.
It has still been thin trading of late, but like sheep people can follow other sheep and the price snowballs downwards over time which we are now seeing with AA4.
i have recently lost funds on Just Group, which is also on a pe of only 3, but appears to be a recovery stock.
AA4 is fundamentally a good company - certainly long term - but the share price is has now fallen more than the latest dividend, There's no real news to come out in the near future either.
But I do believe in holding this stock at present, even though there is a risk that the 16% dividend may not cover the share price fall. Longer term the stock does look promising taking into account asset value, dividend and AA4 is making a profit. .

I really like Amedeo. Before investing I did a lot of due diligence. I know the person that sold the planes to Amedeo and he knows well the owners of Amedeo. All my research was positive. Unfortunately I bought a large amount before Covid which clearly was wrong timing. Amedeo remains a high risk investment but all the numbers look good. The main risk is the value of the planes/if airline will renew the lease. Personally I find it surprising that Emirates pays so much money to Amedeo for leasing planes when they could buy themself (even if I know Amedeo bought at massive discount). But apparently this is how this market works. Also I am still a believer in the A380. I flow recently on Emirates on a A380. Amazing plane, amazing comfort and it was full.

eeza - I agree, there is money leaving the London market without a care for valuation. That is both a risk and an opportunity; those two bedfellows. One just has to be very careful to make sure ones own money is going in to the opportunities.
