I confess I know little or nothing about the aircraft industry so forgive the daft question. The daily news is unavoidable and I note the fall in the share price Is it to be expected that there will be a knock-on effect on the share price here due to the disruption in Israel/Gaza?

The selling is not material. Next week many will reinvest the dividend so if the MMS drop the price it’s a giveaway from current to future shareholders. Really it’s best to concentrate on the fundamentals and not the sentiment. This has been a very very lucrative investment for me based on analysis and my view on the model. Share price is a measure of sentiment. If you want to focus on the price do technical analysis but if not best to focus on what the business will deliver. But if you are going to worry about ups and downs I would put your money in Premium Bonds or a high interest savings account.

I don't think the company has any intention of selling the A350 leases and the board seem happy with the current state of play with Thai.

I have no knowledge of Thai bankruptcy rules, but assume until Thai completes it's rehabilitation process that it still has more freedom to dispense with contracts, so that probably restricts any sale of the A350 leases at this point.

If lease rates are now firming, I believe AA4 have a break option in 2026. Appreciate costs of placing aircraft with other operators, but it could act as a trigger for Thai to seek to renegotiate leases to remove the break in exchange for higher lease rentals?

All trading on LSE was halted (except FTSE100 & 250) at approx 1515hrs for the rest of the day.


ii shows the last trade transacted - which was the 700k. No trades afterwards.

Edit- having looked at my account the close price is unchanged from yesterday even though ii shows the closing price on its search function as 42.084p !!
ii have just changed it to 43.5p- makes you wonder .

I suppose the board could tell the market what the strategic issues are and give an indication of the options available to overcome them , subject to confidentiality issues. This would give a clearer view which hopefully improves market sentiment.

With ii I could sell 5k for 42p and buy 25k at 42.3p

One is lucky to be able to sell at 43p,
the bid price for more than a few is 39p
There are positives though with the stock going forward,
like maybe a 32% dividend over the next 2 years.
The big question is "what is the real/true asset value"
We have seen share price drifts before, and then it has recovered
hopefully the same will occur this time around.
