17/11/2023 13:22 | apart from structured product which are difficult to buy in the UK are there any similar investments yielding 16%? Canary Wharf bonds yield 17% but minimum investment is 100.000£ nominal unless you buy fractionally with Wise Alpha. | fram7
17/11/2023 11:31 | Behind a firewall. Amedeo is recommended for those seeking income. | andyandyoj
17/11/2023 01:08 | There will be some investor in from 25p or 30p who are "de-risking". There'll be people in at 46-48p risk managing because of the greater than 10% capital loss they are suffering. There'll be forced sellers as their investors keep withdrawing funds from the market to put in to money markets (just a year late). People will always find a reason to sell. Some will be selling because of people shouting recession risk. On the other hand data has simply just been improving. Those airlines that had said they were taking A380s out of the air permanently have put them back. Long haul leisure travel has bounced back and leisure travellers are happy to fill premium cabins because the slightly older cohort has the money. Fares especially across the Atlantic, are sky high. Boeing can't make 777s at anywhere close to the rate required to replace the 747s, never mind A380. Thailand (where I am now, though not via Thai) has re-opened to tourists and is booming again). Then directly we have bullish renewal like statements from our most significant lessees. Thai is desperately short of aircraft ( ) so there is no danger of ours not being in the air from now until the new lease end, and frankly I think they'll have to renew those. So bar a serious global conflict, a pandemic, or invasion from outer space, the company is well set for a long time to come IMO. | hpcg
16/11/2023 16:38 | Dated 10 Nov for Weiss holding increase. | eeza
16/11/2023 16:34 | In 762 above I put the incorrect link. Correct one now as above. | langland
16/11/2023 16:29 | Bid moved up to 42.50p. | eeza
16/11/2023 16:24 | Yes. Next XD ~12 Jan - Pay ~31Jan | eeza
16/11/2023 16:24 | I just bought at 42.55p. It showed up as a sell on ii trades though. | cassini
16/11/2023 16:20 | I am a believer in Amedeo but I have been a bit sceptical to increase my exposure but after the recent news not any more! Am I right that I can buy at 43 and get a 1.75% dividend 4 times a year, 16% annual yield?......Still a risky investment but the risk reward ration seems extremely attractive! | fram7
16/11/2023 15:57 | Weiss has just increased. They are usually pretty shrewd. | langland
16/11/2023 14:59 | Would have thought with a 16.5% yield - which should be gauranteed with the airlines now doing well - the share price should be higher. We'very seen a dividend of 1.75p but a fall in the share price of 3.5p making the share price better value. I have a fair holding in AA4. | clive7878
16/11/2023 14:47 | I've added. I've just transitted through Doha and the airport was packed. The Middle East hubs aren't going anywhere and they need to big planes to feed into slot constrained airports. I was confident anyway and to be honest I've been spacing out trades because lower price opportunities have been available to the patient. | hpcg
16/11/2023 09:40 | I already have a very large holding - so feeling vindicated but am way over my “sensible̶ | andyandyoj
16/11/2023 09:18 | "24 hours to fix" Lol !! Pathetic | eeza
16/11/2023 09:17 | Judging by the volume today I seem to be the only one who seems to think these developments substantially derisk AA$. | langland
16/11/2023 09:17 | Just topped up with AJ bell, they have an online error not showing the KIID form which will take 24 hours to fix so no onlines today | my retirement fund
16/11/2023 08:46 | I topped up yesterday. | spittingbarrel
16/11/2023 08:14 | On the face of it the announcements do seem to derisk AA4 so that income from the A380s should be forthcoming beyond the 3 year lease expiry. Anyway, right or wrong, I've bought another 25k across 3 accounts. At worst this should act as an annuity. | langland
16/11/2023 07:56 | I also found this from the Sheik (who is the CEO above Sir Tim Clarke (President) “The French OEM stopped manufacturing the double-deckers in 2021. Sheikh Ahmed, however, said the airline would continue to expand its fleet with more A380s from lessors for ‘the right price. “The A380 will stay with us until at least 2035. We will continue to buy it for the right price,” he said.” | andyandyoj
16/11/2023 07:53 | I wish I had more funds to invest, MRF, but I'm already fully committed and would need to sell elsewhere to buy here. Tempted to do just that, though. | lord gnome
16/11/2023 07:47 | AA4 are looking stupidly undervalued now, aren't they? Who's thinking of increasing their holding before value if outed or someone takes them off the stock market for good? | my retirement fund
16/11/2023 07:45 | Thank you, Andy. Very positive development. I've just made your link clickable. | langland
16/11/2023 07:44 | Great. Now all we need is an announcement from Amedeo telling us how this will affect our planes. They must surely be talking to Emirates about this, so news must be on the way. | lord gnome
16/11/2023 07:39 | And here the official Emirates one hxxps://www.emirates | andyandyoj |
