Of course Thai is operating arguably our best planes - the A350-900 which is in big demand. So, we do not get the best bang for our buck by sticking with Thai. In the previous factsheet in early May this was said....

'We remain aware that some shareholders want us to sell these aircraft as they currently do not contribute to dividend income. The Board continues to assess the variables that affect these aircraft to identify when it is best to realise their value for shareholders. The original leases were due to expire in 2029/30 and the original loan financing for the first 3 aircraft also expires at the same time. The leases having been extended by 6 years to 2035/2036, with the rent payable for the extension to be set by an appraisal process. Amedeo is confident that the package of aircraft and long leases has substantial value in excess of loan exposure and the funds diverted previously from shareholders to keep lenders current during the period when the airline was not paying rent due to its entering court protection.'

So I am wondering whether, at some stage, we may do a deal with these planes to unlock value and effect another return of capital.

So effectively any contribution from Thai airways is surplus cash.

So a director and wife thinks it's ok to wait 4 months before notifying the company of a share purchase.

Thanks Rambutan, the wing crack discovery is not as big an issue as it sounds and has been common knowledge for a few years now. Inspections of wings are now every 11.5 years brought forward from 15 years. Good article explaining it in the link below.

DNA2 quarterly from Fri. Mentions potential wing crack issues. Also, need to keep an eye on what happens re its leases which end this and next year. Will guide valuations here I imagine.

took another 17.5K this am. 15% divi not to be sniffed at in this weak equity market and strong aircraft leasing market.

Also added Thursday, Friday, Monday With 5 x Ex ¹75p, in next 53 weeks = 8.75p. Giving me an 18.2% return in just over 1 year At an average price of 48p, after costs. Perhaps A dividend increase on top.

It was an illustrative figure ,, am well aware of current pricing that merely hilights absurdity of value currently on offer here.

(We were recenty offered 4.34% on HSBC MM for £250k over 30 days)

Picked up a few more today in anticipation of the dividend declaration, which has now been declared at 1.75 as expected. Looking good here.
