28/11/2005 09:09 | I dont have any current ones, I just subscibe to the long term hold scenario. Deehill is a little more emphatic than me. Cue Deehill | ![]() cambium
28/11/2005 09:05 | Hi Cambium - this has been on my watch list for ages, thought I'd better take the plunge as it seems to be a lovely longer term performer. Have you any broker notes ? Could you mail them to me ? TIA | ![]() liarspoker
28/11/2005 09:04 | welcome me old china. Talking of Slaters principles!! | ![]() cambium
28/11/2005 08:54 | Well - better late then never as they say. ;-) | ![]() liarspoker
28/11/2005 08:24 | Up another 3% already this morning. Looks likely to hold above 300 now and continue to climb. Where are you deehill? In the bar celebrating? | tinker
25/11/2005 18:54 | Tinker - I don't see why not, the fundamentals are so strong and will surely only get better as the company grows and grows. I thought getting through 300 might trigger some profit taking but as usual looks as if I was wrong ! | ![]() blindfaith2
25/11/2005 16:57 | Now let's see it hold above 300 before it heads on up again. | tinker
25/11/2005 16:50 | Hose - agree entirely, smashing week ! | ![]() blindfaith2
25/11/2005 16:11 | Yeh! this stock is really boring - it just keeps going up - If only I had a few more boring stocks like MER:-) | ![]() hosede
24/11/2005 17:19 | Yep, could be another milestone in MER's history if it can break through the £3 barrier. Maybe a few profit takers triggered by this so it will be interesting to see what happens. | ![]() blindfaith2
24/11/2005 16:39 | Nearly there, that looks to be the first "buy" at the £3 level, roll on tomorrow. | ten
24/11/2005 09:23 | Come on MER, 3 miserly quid I know you can do it............... | ![]() blindfaith2
23/11/2005 17:52 | Pretty close now... | billfisher98
21/11/2005 09:32 | Bring on 3 quid ! | ![]() blindfaith2
18/11/2005 10:18 | keeps moving to new highs :o) | ![]() cambium
17/11/2005 08:16 | If the earnings keep growing at a healthy rate which looks extremely likely, then there's no reason the price shouldn't keep moving up as it has in tandem. | billfisher98
16/11/2005 21:26 | Makes CNT look ordinary, but I wouldn't mind threefold on all my stocks | tinker
15/11/2005 12:23 | Just out of interest - a 3 year comparison MER(fourfold) CNT(threefold) (profile comparison correct, but price values apply to MER only) Both AIM-listed. Almost identical capitalisation. | m.t.glass
15/11/2005 10:56 | Nice break to new highs today. Great chart! | billfisher98
09/11/2005 17:40 | Yes, the Mail says: "Social Housing group Connaught firmed 7.5% to 812.5 0n slightly better than expected results. Broker Investec says the rating already reflects the profits improvement and advises clients to sell. It prefers rival Mears at 277p" Two big trades went through . 100k and 78k (don't know what they were Cambium!) | tinker
09/11/2005 11:32 | Daily Mail likes MER today, reckons it's a good buy as aginst CNT which is priced up with the profits announcement. Thought we would have seen a bit of a tick up ! | ![]() blindfaith2
08/11/2005 11:40 | Cambium, no need to apologise. Anyway CNT results were good and beat forecasts for profit and eps growth, so it makes me feel even more comfortable about MER (if that were possible). "LONDON (AFX) - Property services group Connaught PLC said it had experienced a "transformational" year as it posted a 27 pct rise in annual pretax profits. Connaught, which supplies property management and other support services to the public and private sectors, said it is now in its strongest position since being admitted to the Alternative Investment Market seven years ago. The Exeter-based company said full year pretax profits before one-off items and goodwill on its continuing business had risen to 9.2 mln stg, while operating profits on the same basis lifted by 34 pct to 10.5 mln stg. It said turnover rose 20 pct to 240 mln stg and the group's order book expanded to 1.5 bln stg from 1.1 bln at the same time last year. The total dividend increased by 6 pct to 8.6 pence." | tinker |
