05/8/2005 11:14 | Investec have come out with a buy, may explain todays upward move. | ![]() brownie69
05/8/2005 10:28 | I, now, think my American analyst is well grounded in indicating 312 -320 by years end. At the beginning of this year, that seemed virtually impossible to achieve BUT with Mears - anything is possible | deehill
05/8/2005 09:48 | Lucky guess !!! Blindfaith2 - 8 Jun'05 - 11:23 - 265 of 304 edit I notice the MER long term graph has a definite pattern to it. If it is to perpetuate the profile of the last couple of years then a surge can be expect here taking it up to between 240 and 245 in the next say 21 days, interesting to see if this happens ! | ![]() blindfaith2
05/8/2005 08:58 | Certainly looks like it as yesterday's rise is continuing | ![]() blindfaith2
05/8/2005 08:43 | Nicely increasing again today up 7 on 3 trades; good news on the way? | mikeb01
04/8/2005 16:51 | Forget the boiler room - just ticked up 8 after a v quiet period. | mikeb01
04/8/2005 11:13 | This film on a Boiler Room is well worth a view: | simon gordon
04/8/2005 11:03 | Its really a little like these unfortunate tales you hear Stateside about poor, lonely, unfortunates who are told that they have 'won' xyz if only they make sure to renew their subscription of X magazine. A giFt will be sent, just send us the handling cost of $35. Selling shares is just selling dreams THERE IS ALWAYS A PUTZ OUT THERE. | deehill
04/8/2005 10:59 | I suggest winding them up - tell them you just inherited 1m and feel lucky - how about 500k. That will make them crazy!!! | simon gordon
04/8/2005 10:51 | Popout. You have been given good advice DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE respond to this company. One good trick is to tell em you are going to have to go to your 'office' phone and just leave them hanging on. They seldom call again. | deehill
03/8/2005 21:02 | popout. Stay well away. It's a dodgy boiler room selling a dodgy OTC (over the counter) stock. Mick. | ![]() mickconn11
03/8/2005 20:00 | Deehill, thanks for your reply. I believe you are from the States? If so do you know anything about Regal Technology? A company claiming to be based in Switzerland rang me a couple of days ago urging me to buy from them @ $1.70 adding that they will soar to over $5 by xmas. I guess they got my number from some database but nevertherless I did not feel comfortable doing business with an unknown on the end of a phone. Perhaps that was a little unwise as they are now trading at $2.25. They have the ticker symbol rgth. Could be worth watching? | popout
03/8/2005 09:49 | Brilliant prospects and LAZY Local Government | deehill
02/8/2005 19:14 | What's the attraction in buying shares in a company on a pe of 20 plus. | ![]() mickconn11
02/8/2005 10:09 | That, my friend, is for me to know and you to find out. We all start with the same opportunity. You, it seems, have already found Mears and must, therefore, have the ability to weazel out another like stock. | deehill
01/8/2005 17:20 | Where, in your opinion, would these opportunities presently be fellow mears fan? | popout
31/7/2005 11:14 | Well. These are the summer months and you are all entitled to sit back and enjoy the good life on your Mears investment - good luck to you all....but there ARE still opportunities to make LOTS of cash. | deehill
12/7/2005 10:09 | Possibly a small retraction ? | deehill
11/7/2005 17:59 | where to next? 260p? | ![]() gswredland
10/7/2005 12:17 | Of them all I would pick ROK. Thats one I MISSED, due to prevarication, not lack of intuition. Oh how I regret it. It, also would have made me sufficient to retire from the Detox Clinics - yes, there are, now, two. Forget 'The Priory' we can do effective work at 50% OR LESS of their cost and, increasingly, do. Plus the patients enjoy where the clinics are situated SINCE ITS NOT THE POOR OLD UK. | deehill
08/7/2005 15:00 | Broker Numis today makes a stab at identifying which companies in the construction industry will benefit from London staging the 2012 Olympics. However, it admits that they are unlikely to benefit until at least 2008. The sums of investment are massive. Around £2 billion will be spent on building venues and the athletes' villages, £7 billion on upgrading the capital's infrastructure, and around £1 billion redeveloping the Lower Lea Valley in East London including social and affordable housing. The main above ground project will be the £250 million 80,000 seater stadium in the Lower Lea Valley, along with aquatic centre, velodrome, four Olympics arenas, BMX circuit and hockey centre. Contractors such as Balfour Beatty (BBY), Alfred McAlpine (MCA), Costain (COST), Galliford Try (GFRD), Kier (KIE) and Carillon (CLLN) all look 'prime candidates for winning work'. Infrastructure contracts should also offer some rich pickings while the need for affordable housing should benefit companies such as Rok Property Solutions (ROK). | ![]() newby to all this |
