The IPCC, I think it's called was set up by Thatcher. One example on the program is that 'they' don't want Africa to develop unless it uses renewable energy. Just think of all those resources in Africa up for grabs! Just like in Iraq. Like a guy pointed out on the program how is Africa supposed to run trains on solar or wind power? I don't fully understand the politics behind it myself. But guess Africa would offer cheap labour and manufacturing just like China to the detriment of the west if only they had electricity.

Birds, animals, rotting leaves, micro organisms produce far more CO2 than us. Volcanoes produce more CO2 than the whole of the worlds industries put together. CO2 accounts for 0.05% of the content of the atmosphere. It is scienticifically proven but cos billions are being poured into the scientific bandwaggon of global warming by governments anyone speaking out is ridiculed. The polar icecaps also change in size all year and sheets break off, it's been happening for thousands of years but it's now tagged onto the global warming CO2 myth by the media. Doom and gloom makes a good story.

Change the world to who's advantage though? Its not like governments cooked this story up so they could make more money through making eco-friendly products! So the evidence in favour of CO2 warming must be very strong. There was a conference a while back. There must be a way to disprove the CO2 theory if it is false.

Thanks, I did seriously want to know actually. Imagine if this theory is scientifically proven!! The ramifications to industry, countries won't have to hold back on their emmissions anymore but I'm sure the environment will still suffer in some way!!

The sun! The more sun spots, solar activity the more, I think it gamma radiation or something that heads towards the earth. This stops, I think it's photons reaching the earth. Photons cause water droplets to form clouds. So the less photons the less clouds and so the earth heats up. As the earth heats up the sea gets hotter and absorbs less CO2. Less solar activity > more clouds > earth cools > sea cools and absorbs more CO2. Few hundred years ago the Thames used to freeze over and people used to have markets and skate on it, few hundred years before that UK was basking in a hot period, far hotter than it's been recently. Point is no man made CO2 was being produced then.

Global warming being related to CO2 was cooked up by a guy 30yrs ago. Thatcher jumped on the idea and provided government money to investigate it cos she wanted to shut the coal mines and blame the reason on green house gases. It's now used as a tool to change the world but it's nonsense!

Watch out for ITV, I've heard they're doing a program on how the NHS is failing mental patients, with the result that some are walking the streets when they would be better removed from society, where they can be treated. ITV didn't happen to mention anything about a lobotomy when they rang did they?

Cash keep it intelligent and make your point effective - getting excited will not help and as others suggest being personal will look sad. You have a point, use your logic and raise the exact issues without contamination. Keep us all up-to-date!
