Well exactly my point - was it received from an authenticated e mail address - perhaps he was disclosing price sensitive information?
Got to go now - await replies - there could be a factual cause for complaint here that will cause this person a large amount of problems - I can assure you!!

Hang on a sec guys - cash as I understand it some of these statements were in writing - ie authenticated e mail address?
Potentially you may have some recourse for some form of damages if this is in context of a perception of creating an increase in share price - as this was specifically directed to you in person.
Can you confirm/clarify?
It is not easy to determine what was spoken (do you have recordings of this?) and what was written in your description of events above?
You probably have just cause for complaint to FSA however may not have proof to back up your accusations?

cashmagnet...Think of it as a lesson in investing. Probably your biggest mistake was investing more than you could obviously afford, but others include believing everything always works out as planned and the very obvious one of not using a stoploss.
Am sure you will be a better person for the experience.

Its harsh cash but you must learn the lesson that you should never trust people on their word, especially those who you don't really know!

Cash. He still has many millions from the sale of Gremlin, I would hazard a guess he will still live out a comfortable life and not need to work again.

So any guesses on when they will finally go bust?

This is a dead doggy I'm afraid. I hope any long termers still holding (why?) see sense and gte at least something back before even that option disappears.

I was a gamble of iDVDs taking off. Although they appeared to sell welll to me over Christmas (the shops were full of them), the sales, and profit per sale, was later shown to be naff all - other signes were there - I bought Gary Linekar footbasll for £2 off Amazon before Christmas, now it's in the pound shop.

Some you win, some you lose - don't let it affect your lives.
